Modern testing confirms 100% lead free glaze on the products as reported from the seller. Superb beauty and quality from the 13 inch cazuela. I bought. Being familiar with cazuelas in my lifetime I can tell this is one of better quality. With proper care it should last a lot of years. No worries of cracking if you season this baby properly. I haven't cured it or cooked with it yet, but I must say just from taking it out of the box, this is a really beautiful cazuela. I wanted to find one (lead free) to cook with after a trip to Mexico learning about traditional & pre-hispanic recipes. This was EXACTLY what I was hoping for. Thanks!

I have been wanting a cazuela for a very long time this one seems to have an issue with the glaze and oil will drip through onto the burner and create a huge mess. Been using my mother and grandmother's cazuela for many years and I've never seen anything like this.

Love this, have made several Mexican casseroles in mine. The clay holds the heat and keeps food warm for quite a while.
