I have used a mortar & pestle for over 25 years while cooking & baking. After receiving this lovely item I was shocked at just how crummy my old mortar & pestle were! Lol! I had to work twice as hard & twice as long to grind herbs & spices!! This gem has a wonderful weight to it, the pestle is comfortable in your hand & does a bang up job or powdering spices in no time! So happy with my purchase that I’ll be buying another to gift to my sister. Excellent product, amazing value, extremely well packaged & worth every darn penny!! Highly recommend!!

I got this today and it seems like it does a pretty good job. It doesn’t do rice very well, but it does spices great. I wish I was a little deeper but that’s my bad for going to small.
