I have used for multiple races (run) including marathons -- including rain soaked runs. Does a great job. The description states " Recommended for all active sports including cycling, running, walking, hiking, and swimming" Yes it seems to be waterproof.

Depends on the kid. I suspect that it would be an eye irritant if the child rubbed it and then their eyes. But it's designed to be applied to mucus membranes, so I think it's fairly benign. If you want a more authoritative answer, send something to lil@bluesteelsports.com.

Absolutely! It's great as it works well without being sticky and greasy.

Q: Does it have a smell? Does it prevent sweating?

It has a moderate smell of tea tree oil. I only notice it when applying.
