Exactly what I needed
I bought this 2 years ago, it still works great!! I use it all the time and I think I have only replaced the batteries once. I’m going to get one for my mom.

A Solid Choice!
I use timers to manage my time on my desk. I'm big fan of the pomodoro technique and I'm pretty satisfied with this timerPros:- Elegant - It definitely looks A LOT better than most timers out there and looks real good on my wooden desk- Nice, big, bright display - The numbers are displayed very clearly and easy to read from any angle. Even from far away. it also has a brightness adjustment and only the numbers light up, So it's really satisfying and friendly to use in dimly-lit areas or completely in the dark- Tactile - The outside bezel of the timer has detents that give it a tactile and very satisfying feeling to interact with.- Doubles as a chronometer - The timer also has a function that allows you to count up when you set the timer to zero and press down on the display. Handy if you need to know how long something takes you without having to take out your phone every timeCons:- Somewhat loose construction - The pictures on the product make it look like a very sturdy product. But it's a bit cheap-feeling and the bezel on the side is a bit more loose than I would like.- Runs on traditional batteries - The timer uses 2 old-school AAA batteries that, unfortunately, are not included. I would definitely be willing to pay a little more if it had a rechargeable battery with, say, a type-C usb- Limited time - The type of display limits the timer to 99 minutes and 55 seconds counting down or up. You can't use it for long periods of time like you could your phoneOverall a really solid option if you need a desk timer that looks sophisticated and still functional

Exactly what I was expecting for the price
Sure, it's made out of plastic and it would be nice if it was heavier and made of metal. But, what do you expect for $15-ish. I don't trust the magnets to hold up pictures on my refrigerator but it still stays up on it's own. The rubber pads on the bottom isn't strong enough to hold it in place when turning the dial but not a deal breaker. Other than that, the action is pretty cool and it helps when my kids have to read 20 minutes a night. There's probably other similar products out there that have great magnets and have good weight to them but I'm sure it'll also be 4 times the price. Not worth it me. I'm quite happy with my purchase and the price I paid for it. If I paid $50 I would probably give it 3 stars. For $15, 5 stars seems fair.

Just what I needed in my kitchen
I have two timers already in my kitchen, but I needed something I could take back up stairs, to my bedroom. Thus I wouldn't have to worry if I heard the alarm or not. I have the black face, with the chrome outer ring, magnetically attached to my refrigerator door. The contrasting colors and design are simply perfect. The magnetic works perfectly on my refrigerator, it simply stays on the door, doesn't move. I found having it on the refrigerator door, gives it a solid none slip base to actually set the timer, and then simply remove it, and take it with you where ever. It's also light weight and the numbers and are large and easy to see, I am 73, and struggle with small fonts. I can see myself buying another one as a gift. It's truly a nice and functional design.

Setting the duration is an exercise in frustration
Trying to dial in a specific duration is an exercise in frustration. Because of the stupid way it handles the knob acceleration and switches between 5s/1minute increment. If you spin slowly, its 5s at a time. Fast, its 1 minute at a time. So lets say you want to set 5 minutes. You spin it fast, but the stupid thing will still count few sets of 5s, and then it will accelerate, but at this point, way too fast, so you end up at 17 minutes. So you try to go back down, and the same game repeats. Now, when you have successfully switched in to minute mode, it will stay in this mode for about 2 seconds. So when you are now trying to fix the seconds, you have to hesitate and wait. Its just... no.What they should have implemented is an acceleration like a computer does with a mouse pointer. Flick your mouse across the table, it jumps to the other side of the screen. Go slow, it moves slow and precisely. And anything in between.

Works Great, Looks Great, Drains Batteries Quickly
I bought two of these for my classroom. I wanted to be able to see at a glance how many minutes remain in class time, and the second one I used for centers to keep us on schedule. So basically I used them for about 4-5 nonstop hours per day. After only a few school days, they needed a battery change. Because these use 3 AAA batteries each, it is not an economical gadget for me as a teacher. (I would need 24 AAA batteries per month just to keep us on schedule.)But my students and I all loved the timers. They were easily visible around the room and they were easy to restart (just tap them!) and also my middle school students thought they looked cool LOL.I didn't return them; I plan to look into rechargeable batteries and see if that isn't too inconvenient. I really wish these had a different sort of power supply that I could just recharge them. I suppose then they would be super expensive though.
