The unit I have here clearly says output 3000 ma (which is 3 amps). I might add that the collection of ends has allowed me to use it another device I have here

If your power supply requires 20V than this 12v AC adapter would not be enough. You want to match what is required of your unit to include Amps. More than likely it would not be enough for it to function properly.

I believe it will. It has a capacity of 3A and the Seagate Free Agent GoFlex Desk External 1 TB USB 2.0 Drive (9ZH9P9-RAA) comes with a 2A charger, but a 3A will work as well.
