Not bad
Minus one star for difficulty of application, I picked this item up due to talon grip peeling off are a year. That’s not happened before so I thought I’d try something new. Application wasn’t easy nor quick. Watch the YouTube video and then set up a clean workspace. It took me over an hour to apply but I wasn’t is a rush. Could it have come out better of course am I pleased with results? Most definitely it looks amazing. Now I understand I got the Texas skin but looking at it gave me a strong Capt American vibe. Durability is the question so I’ll update review after six months. Over all if you have patience and the desire to personalize your firearm I’d recommend purchasing this item.

Great product, Take your time on Install
Just installed this skin on my Glock Model 22 (.40 cal). Nice thing about the skin is it's stretchable and fit my 25 year old Glock with a finger groove thick rubber grip with no problem. Just make sure you have a heat gun and use it to stretch and stick the wrap. Suggest watching the install video on YouTube that is for your gun, or the closest you can find. Watch the video all the way through to understand when to stretch the material and when additional material can be applied without having to over-stretch and understand when/where to cut appropriately. Just be careful with the Xacto knife cutting around the plastic Glock frame and to minimize bluing scratches. I took my time, took around 3-4 hours to install, and it looks really nice. Don't take short cuts...use a sharp Xacto blade and change the blade mid-way through install if needed...use a good heat gun and metallic straight ruler/edge to cut when needed, and take your time. I applied the white/black skin... the patterned skins are designed to meet at certain spots--watch install videos to see how to trim them to look good.

It's cool but.....
The dark grey bottom half color kinda fades .

Easy to apply, not sure how durable it would be
I bought this to cover up the orange “slide” on a Lancer Scorpion 50 cal LTL pistol. Did the job, looks fine. I’ll probably remove this and just dye it like I did my other orange LTL. Not sure I’d want this on a gun that actually has a working slide.

What a thing
Didn’t even know these things existed. Husband bought one for his Glock 26. Great fit. He used a hair dryer to stretch the material.

Go slow- heat in moderation
Let me start by saying I love how this turned out as you see in the image. I tried uploading a video but it wouldnt go through. I watched several how to videos before I put the install. The wrap doesnt fit full frame guns well. There just isnt enough material to overlap well. And while you might not notice- I can see the flaws.Heat really helps this vinyl stretch and mold, but if it gets too hot it browns and wrinkles- causing unrepairable damage. Use a sponge and a hard plastic card to push into the grooves. Use heat to help that process.Use a very fine and sharp knife. I used a super sharp pocket knife and it didnt cut well. The blade needs to be a fine razor.I would buy this again. In fact, if I buy another maybe that means I will have to get a new gun for the wrap? Makes sense to me.

Disappointing
It’s a good idea for a cheaper alternative to cerakote, however… it was much harder to install than the guy in the video. I watched the install video about 15 times throughout the process and thought I was going step for step. He made it look super easy and I struggled big time. If you got it too hot it either burnt or wouldn’t stick. I even went out and bought supplies, like heat gun, scalpel set, and the Gunskins install squeegee. The lines were also difficult to line up. I’m sure most of it was my fault, being my first attempt, but I ended up taking it off and throwing it away.

The stuff was completely easy to use, just make sure you have a sharp knife. And it will turn any gun into a completely Unique Piece to show off

Amazing Product!!
This is an amazing product! Not some cheap vinyl window decal but superbly durable matte finish vinyl! I bought a new Xacto knife as well, and used my hair dryer to assist with the application. Came out so much better than I imagined. Love my G3c even more now!💜🤘🏼

Makes grips very slick.
First , it is much more difficult to apply correctly the first time than the manufacturers videoLeads you to believe. Maybe by the 5th or 6th one you could do it fairly easily, not the first one, not difficult just more so that it first appears. It looks great on the gun , would be great for a display, but it makes it much more difficult to rack as it has a slick finish, same for grips, makes them slick. I put this on my Glock 43, my EDC, not sure I will keep it on, have to go to the range and see. Maybe willput one on that’s not for EDC.They don’t emphasize you need a VERY sharp blade to trim it easily, it’s pretty tough material. They also don’t emphasize about not trimming too close to the mag release, be generous or it makes it sticky, mag doesn’t drop, trimming has to really be fine tuned. You also have to trim both sides of the release button( both grip sides) to prevent sticking.

take your time
if you buy this do not put it on your EDC gun it is really slick that is why i gave it 3 stars but i will say if you do it wright it dose look good on a gun and for the look i give it 5 stars

Pricy & NOT an easy install
By far the most expensive sticker I’ve ever bought (😂). I mean, for the price they could send a squeegee or a tiny blade or something. You know the kind you buy 124,284 for a penny from China? To install this right, you’d have to have the steady hand of all the famous painters and surgeons in history combined. And you’d also have to cut it with a laser or something because there is no blade sharp enough. The instructions video is 30 minutes long. Being installed by someone who knows what they are doing. They keep installing and don’t really stop to explain, that should tell you it’s a lot longer to install than anticipated. The material is very thin. It is not long enough for my G20 Gen5. You can kind of still make it fit but you have to stretch it and hope you realized it soon enough. The knife you use has to be the sharpest object in the universe and you’ll need plenty of blades to do it “right”. At the edges, you get these folds that you just can’t get rid of. I have a surefire light that has trouble going in now and when it comes off it rips the wrap. I’m pretty handy, and it took a long time to install. I got it because my holster rubs up on the slide and it scratches it, I figured better it scratch the wrap which should last a while and then just replace the wrap, better than scratching the gun m, but at $35 a pop you’re better off using the gun and when you want to get rid of it, paint/coat it, it’ll probably be cheaper. It’s a huge disappointment. Not satisfied at all 🤷🏻♂️ NOTE :: Had not done final step on other than the rail in the pic

I wanted to like this product..
I bought this product with high hopes. Used various sources to study the installation and was confident walking into it. Long story short mine sat in the package here for about a month and a half due to my wife falling I’ll and me taking care of our infant. Just got done prepping the product for installation and upon removing the skins from the sealed package I have noticed it is missing a label and also there is a massive crease in the middle of the vinyl for the frame. My wife has a business where she makes custom clothing and dishes and she showed me that the vinyl is creased too badly to be salvageable. I am unfortunately outside of my return window so I guess I will have to chalk this one as a loss. I know it’s not anyone’s fault and it wasn’t intentional but it does kinda leave a poor taste in my mouth.

Advice! Read This!!
Before this arrived, I did some homework and bought an Xacto knife with 5 extra blades, and a hair dryer.I degrease my fairly new M&P with rubbing alcohol, which worked just fine.Tip 1: The material cuts MUCH easier (like butter) BEFORE you heat it.So, go ahead and cut out all the notches before heating.Tip 2: Don't buy this if you care about fine hairline scratches on your gun. You'll get a few from the Xacto. So what though?Tip 3: When you do change the Zacto blade, they are OILY!! I made the mistake of touching the adhesive part of the skin after gettin a tiny bit of oil on my fingers.. With enough heat from the blow dryer, that spot did still stick.Tip 4: A regular $11 hair dryer works just fine.Tip 5: Take your slide off and do that separately.Tip 6: Don't listen to people who say it takes forever. I did mine in about an hour and change last night. Tonight I will reheat it and press in more thoroughly.I am thrilled to death with this product for $29! Love it. It's not for everybody, but if you're on the fence about a cerakote or hydro dip, but one of these kits. Even if you did just the slide, it'll look like a pro paint job from 3 feet away.Again, this material is MUCH easier to cut BEFORE heating. It will not shrink when you heat it, so make those cuts before heating.I think I'll get another kit to do my Remington .308 next!!Gun Skins gets an A+ from this guy.
