Playmobil Dragon Knights Castle

Our son is almost 3 1/2, and I bought this set to see how well he liked Playmobil. It has been a great choice for a starter set! He loves adding other characters/toys (such as planes and construction vehicles) to the kit, and wants to get a mommy and daddy for the green dragon--so it's as great for creative play as my husband and I both remember from our childhoods. We also felt the quality of the plastic and construction was up to par with what we remember (hard to find these days). It was relatively easy to put together, and seems quite sturdy. I was surprised to see my kid did manage to pull one section apart since it seems really tightly put together once everything popped into place; but that's probably what helps to make it durable and resistant to breaking around younger kids too. Definitely looking forward to adding onto the collection over the next few years!

I had purchased this castle, along with some Mario toys, as a Christmas gift for my 3 year old. When I told him this was "Bowser's Castle", he never thought twice about it (I had searched for a long time for an authentic Bowser castle, but to no avail).With that said, the Castle does have a pretty dark, almost sinister vibe to it, but I'm sure this is the feeling that the creators were trying to capture.It assembles easily, and is sturdy. The only issue I had with it were the figurines; I feel they should have either included more, or made the existing ones a bit better in quality.Overall though, my son, who will now be 4, has been playing with the castle on and off for over a month, is happy, which in turn, makes us happy.

I was able to put it together for him in about an hour. It took a little longer than expected because I was unaware that he traipsed off with some of the parts :) We played with it for quite some time afterwards. Even Uncle Ben and Uncle Nick played with us. Great little gift - it really encourages his imagination. I love the little dragon that comes with it. Very cool stuff!!

Gave this wonderful toy to my 5-year old great-grandson for Christmas. He loves it, and plays with it all the time.I ordered it with the castle and knights I bought for my son in Germany over 50 years ago. While not as detailed, it definitely is a hit!

My son loves this set. He bought it after saving up his own money, and what a great deal! It's much bigger than we thought it would be and it comes with a great little dragon and knights. The price (around $28 Amazon Warehouse Deal) was great for what you get, esp. because it's Playmobil.

My son got this for Christmas and he loves it! We got this one because the other playmobil castles are much bigger. For a 4 year old this was plenty once I added a few extra knights! Well made, set up was not bad (about 1 hour.)

My 7 yo grandson is into dragons and knights so this was a natural thing to gift him. It is light weight yet sturdy. Has many hidden spaces and accesses like any good castle should have. The downside is the small pieces that come with it: the flames and some weapons detach and make a great snack for the dog.

Perfect size and functional for this price point. No need for something bigger especially for a 5 yr old boy and a smaller house. Great extras like the dragon and 2 knights. My son was enthralled with this for Christmas and only had eyes for it!
