Well made socks, warm due to high % of merino wool, but rather thin & only lightly cushioned...
I received a pair of these socks in black as part of the Vine program. I typically wear a women's size 9.5 so I ordered these in M and they fit quite well through the foot and are comfortable. However, they are quite a bit thinner than I expected from the product description, especially for an athletic sock. If I stretch them out just a little, I can easily see my fingers through the fabric. I don't do any running, so I won't be wearing these for that purpose, but I wouldprefer something a bit thicker and heavier for walking. These will be nice for casual wear, though. Most of my socks are merino wool & I love to wear them pretty much year round. They keep my feet warm in colder weather but don't get too hot when the temperature warms up. I like the high percentage of wool in these socks (90%). I wouldn't categorize these socks as premium quality, but they are well made, and the toe seam is comfortable and there is some cushioning in the toe & heel but it feels rather light. The compression feels very mild to me, except at the ankle, which is a bit too binding for me. The foot portion doesn't shift around inside of my shoes over the course of the day and the socks stay up well; actually, for me, a little too well -- so I have found that folding the ribbed cuff over eases the fit a little plus makes these more of a no-show length. When the socks are turned inside out, there are no loose or dangling threads. It isn't entirely clear to me from the product description whether these socks are sold as a multi-pack or if they are sold as individual pairs. Despite the picture showing three socks, I am assuming they are sold as individual pairs and in my opinion the current price of $21.99 is a bit high (of course if I am wrong and these are actually sold as a multi-pack, that would be a very good price).

Very thin socks, not a good value ...
I run a lot. Like, every single day on over a year streak kind of “lot.” This many miles and daily abuse is brutal on gear. Socks are important, and Merino is so versatile in all seasons. This product has a decent merino - not the softest but not too bad. With the nylon and spandex, stretches and flexes with foot movement. The description is “Men's Women's 90% Merino Wool Thick Athletic Low Cut No Show Ankle Socks”“Thick” these are NOT. They are quite thin. Also in the description is “cushioned”, which they are not. These are basic non-cushioned consistent thin merino socks. Not bad ones, but the description is not accurate. I have noticed this trend with this vendor of not quite right product descriptions. One of my photos shows that with not much stretch, you can see skin through the weave. That is very thin.I am concerned that these socks will not be durable much beyond 100 miles, which is only about 10-14 runs for me. If I am wrong, over time, I will certainly update this review with an increased star rating (definitely not to 5 stars unless description is updated with more accurate information).Ordered this through the Vine program, and no price on listing at time of order. I feel these, based on thinness of the material, should not be listed for more than $4 - $5 per pair. Update: these are now listed at $21.99. There is no way in the future that I will be ordering these at that price point! For more than $20, on Amazon there are fa superior socks that are truly cushioned, or similar quality socks such as these where you receive 3 or more pairs. I feel that this product clearly is not a value.

Decent thin Merino running sock.
I run a lot. Like, every single day on over a year streak kind of “lot.” This many miles and daily abuse is brutal on gear. Socks are important, and Merino is so versatile in all seasons. This product has a good, soft Merino brush wool. With the nylon and spandex, stretches and flexes with foot movement. The tab at back of heel matches most running shoes. The socks are thin, as listed, and not intended to be max cushioning type of sock. While I do note that there seems to be slightly more thickness at the heels and toes, I would stop short of describing it as “cushioned” socks. For that, I would think they are better suited for athletic purposes as opposed to hiking. The toe box is seamless, which is fairly important to me for comfort and rubbing/blister prevention. When stretched over fist, and while on foot, I do not see skin through the stretch, so while thin, they are certainly not threadbare.I am concerned that these socks will not be durable much beyond 200 miles, which is only about 3-4 weeks of running for me. If I am wrong, over time, I will certainly update this review with an increased star rating to five stars, as other than expected durability, I have no complaints about the socks (fit as expected; decent weave; nice blend of wool, nylon, spandex; appear well constructed around toe, ankle, and heel common failure points).Ordered this through the Vine program, and no price on listing at time of order. I feel these would be a good value at no more than $5-$7 per pair.
