Wiha26799 8-Piece Torx Screwdriver Set

These are expensive but high quality screwdrivers. These are the same ones that we use at my workplace and they last forever.

Ces tournevis sont assez chers, mais après avoir usé plusieurs embouts à bas prix, j'ai voulu quelque chose de fiable. Ceux là n'ont aucune trace d'usure après le démontage et remontage d'un appareil électronique riche en vis torx. Il ne sont pas si cher si vous réalisez que c'est la dernière fois que vous achèterez des tournevis avec ces embouts. Et que vous n'aller pas non plus abimer les vis avec.

The construction of these screwdrivers is fantastic. The body is plastic rather than metal, but they don't feel cheap or fragile.The carrying case also a nice touch, and I appreciate the fact that it's canvas rather than hard plastic - it makes this set easy to stuff away in a drawer.The easiest screwdrivers I've ever used. I'm not sure if it was the tight fit of the Torx tips or the ergonomic design of the handles, but this felt like an extension of my own fingers.The little spinning knob at the end was particularly useful, it allows you to easily apply continual downward pressure, keeping the alignment steady, so you can rotate the driver without readjusting your grip.I was a bit disappointed at the range of sizes - it's probably more than enough for most applications, but I also needed a T2, and this set started with T3. Kind of a drag that I had to purchase an additional $5 driver to get the job done..Nobody's fault though - the set contents were clearly labelled on Amazon, and it came with all the drivers indicated.I just wish Torx drivers didn't cost so much, or that there were fewer sizes out there. A complete set of drivers can cost over $100, and I really only needed it for one job.Excellent product, and if you regularly use Torx drivers, you won't be disappointed with these.(On the other hand, if you only need them for one project, you might experience a bit of buyers' remorse, and you should probably pick these up at your local hardware store so they're easier to return.)

Good: Precise and tough. I bought these after the T5 bit in the $10 Husky driver set I got at Home Depot twisted and failed midway through removing / replacing a dozen tiny laptop screws, none more than fingertip-tight. Pathetic. Paid the extra few $ to get these same-day shipped, retorqued the screws that the old driver failed on, and installed the remainer, all firmly fingertip-tight. Driver looks like I'd never taken it out of the package. Come to think of it, this is the same reason I bought the Philips driver set from these people a few years ago.Bad: They cost three times as much as hardware-store drivers. Considering the number of lesser drivers I've ruined in normal use, however, I now consider these a bargain.Bottom line: Wiha is now my go-to brand for precision tools. They're expensive, but the savings in grief and stripped screws and replacement drivers way, way more than make up for the added cost. Five stars.
