Bobbex 32 oz. Ready to Use Deer Repellent Spray

Oh man does this deer repellent stink! My lawn person suggested I buy this for my new arborvitae trees he just planted for me along my driveway. I immediately went on Amazon and bought the two pack bottles of 32 ounce ready to use Bobbex. Small problem was one bottle lid was loose, and it leaked inside the box. When I brought the product inside to open it the smell was already reeking. I took it in the garage to open, but had to wash both bottles off. All is fine now, but my garage smells of whatever ingredient they use in this product to repel deer. The bottles are now sitting outside on the side of my house until I use this evening on my trees. With gloves. The sprayers on both bottle work very well. But I knew this smell was the reason it keeps deer away, so I am pleased that it will work. Just didn’t plan of having the smell in my house and garage. Yikes. And the value for the money spent is terrific, as I have five trees and this will last all winter and probably next summer. I will start applying it daily to each tree for the next two weeks, picking days it is not raining for at least six hours. I trust this product will work since I trust my gardener. Very pleased and recommend.

I put this stuff on in the beginning of the summer and waited the entire summer to do my review. Here's how it went. I sprayed this on my hostas, which last year the deer made their personal salad bar. Okay I got to be up front here and tell you this stuff stinks to high heaven. It smells like some sort of urine. Really strong. I told my husband to be careful not to get it on his clothes because he kept walking past the hostas and I said if you get this on your clothes, I'm throwing them away. They will not be brought into the house. But I had high hopes. Day two I go out to check the hostas and there are so many flies there I can't believe it. Everywhere. But only on the leaves where I sprayed - they didn't bother me at all. I thought uh-oh. This might not be what I want. Day three still flies. Maybe a little bit less. Day four flies but less. Day five until the end of the summer, no smell and my hostas made it all the way through the season unscathed . I never had to spray them again and all the leaves are still there! I didn't believe that I wouldn't have to spray them again after rain, but you don't! And we got a lot of rain in Michigan this year. So I would say five stars and I would definitely purchase this again. Thank you for saving my hostas. Next year. I'm putting it on more of my plants because obviously the deer moved on to the other plants in my yard.

The product is ultra stinky…and I guess that’s what makes it work. But, after one use, the sprayer broke!!!

Product arrived in the morning and was applied as directed on our hydrangeas within the hour. I wore gloves and the product has a very slight smell upwind. The same deer that had nibbled one of our rather large plants to a sickly collection of twigs over the last few days was back but stayed far away from our garden tonight.

Bobbex spray has worked well so far at keeping deer from eating our flowers. Alternating this spray with others keeps deer from getting used to it.

This works to keep deer and rabbits away from my hostas. The first bottle lasted a few summers and I could keep the spray away from me by watching the wind direction. I am now on my second bottle and I do not know if they changed the spray nozzle or the formula, but the spray now creates an unpredictable plume that wafts away from the plant I'm spraying it at and back toward me. I wish there was a way to keep this at more than arm's length -- maybe five or six arms' lengths -- away from me when I spray it. It is truly noxious to humans, deer and rabbits alike. Due to the wafting problem I can no longer get through spraying all of my plants without gagging. I am considering wearing goggles, a mask and coveralls when I spray this.

This stuff actually works. A newborn recommended this to me. It does smell like decaying carcass so beware of using on a windy day or it will blow back on you! But the deer finally quit eating my shrubs. You do have to respray from time to time, especially after it rains. But I think the deer remembered the smell because they never came back.

This is the first thing that has worked to keep the deer away from my garden where that regularly chomp on everything. Highly recommend!
