A fabulously customizable and versatile, but expensive, EDC flashlight.
It's a great, high quality flashlight that's VERY flexible for your particular needs, but at near $100, you might want to go for a more specialized option.Pros:LOTS of customization:-Easily twist to 3 output levels, can perform "twist combos" to access a dim 4th level and some flashing modes, like SOS-has SETTINGS that change its behavior when certain actions are performed (ECO mode, Tactical mode, double push strobe mode)-Various rubber rings and other options (rubber grip rings that can go on the body or tail of the flashlight, lanyard loop, belt clip)-Expandable (can add expansion tubes, light assemblies, filters, if you can ever find a place that sells them)Light is nice and bright, with a centered "hotspot, corona, and spill" pattern; hotspot is uniform and distinct.Does not flicker with the official batteries (or with any other batteries I tried)Cons:ExpensiveThe rubber accessories came loose and twisted too easily, which annoys me.VERY picky with the batteries it can accept. Will only accept "button-top" batteries, and even then, will only work reliably with button-tops with a large button profile. I bought some Nuons to have for backup, and, even when using fully-charged Nuons, the flashlight would turn off automatically after a short while on the brightest level unless the head and tail were twisted in a very particular way. Naturally, this issue does not occur with Eagletec's house batteries, and the flashlight resumed perfect function when using the provided battery, so if you are going to buy off-brand batteries, make sure you get a battery with a similar button-top profile as the EagleTec one.Allegedly, it's expandable with various accessories like diffuse filters, light assemblies, etc., but I'm unable to find any such products.

Can't be beat.
Five stars for the flashlight only.Pros. The flashlight really lights up the night like no other. Best bang for you buck. I use it for EDC comfortably. Comparable flashlight- SureFire P3X 1000 lumens, Price tag 250$ msrp.Cons. I cannot find any information on how durable it is. I have contacted the manufacturer about durability, the only response thus far was registering the product for the 10 year manufacturer warranty ( Its stated it can be used as a rifle mounted flashlight, so it can handle that amount of force) but on their website it says to get the warranty you have to buy from a authorized dealer. I do not know if amazon or lumen tactical are considered authorized dealers The battery charger. It hasn't burned the house down but I always feel the need to keep an eye on it. I will probably upgrade to a better charger.FYI- It does get a little warm so I contacted the manufacturer in reference to the heat it generates. They advised the flashlight was safe to use and that the heat would not damage the flashlight itself.

Amazing Value.
The review stating that you can't activate the strobe with one hand is incorrect. Yes, the head can be spun in to activate the strobe feature, but it can also be programmed to turn on with a double tap. (Double tap as in - 1. Tap on, 2. Tap off 3. Tap on. All in quick succession.)The LED used is very bright and it also has a long reach. Not only is the flashlight rugged, but the carrying case is very durable as well. As mentioned, there is a carrying case that will velcro loop around your belt and provide a snug fit for the flashlight, a belt clip, and an adjustable lanyard for easy on the go purposes.

Recommend
Much improvement from my previous one I do believe. The Carrying case is much improved from the cloth one that I had previously which ripped on me during duty. I recommend EagleTac for my flashlights to depend on while I am serving. I recommend reading the instruction guide that comes with it because of all the abilities it has and to make sure you have the right settings that you have a need for.

Perfect light for Security or Police
Use this every night that I work. Have been using this light for about 2 years now and minus the scrapes it runs like it was brand new. I also have an O light MR2 which I love but this light on high setting is all someone needs. I find the turbo mode (the full 1250 lumens) useless unless you are looking around in open fields. I would definitely recommend.

Mine shipped with older LED even though the advert claimed several times it was the newer LED
Unfortunately my order shipped with the older bulb (XM-L2) despite the description stating in the first sentence that his flashlight has the newer (XP-L V5) bulb. Other than that the description was accurate and the flashlight was sturdy.

A beast of a flashlight!
I absolutely love this flashlight, I have it right next to me now wondering how in the heck it puts out this much light?? I compared it with another flashlight I have which is 1100 lumens and this eagletac outshines it very easy. So I know it puts out 1250 lumens, plus the quality factor that jumps at you is off the charts, there's too much cool stuff this light can do, I would definitely recommend this light, remember you get what you pay for.

This is a very high quality super bright flashlight
I received my new Eagle Tac flashlight in 2 days as promised by Amazon. I have been using this flashlight a lot this last month. I still haven't had to recharge the battery. This is a very high quality super bright flashlight. I absolutely love it. This is my second Eagle Tac flashlight. They are both very bright and function flawlessly. I highly recommend Eagle Tac products.
