I’ve been sleeping on this mat nightly for about six months now, and the improvements I’ve experienced have been truly remarkable. One of the biggest surprises? My daily symptoms of restless legs - something that used to be a constant struggle - have completely disappeared. I purchased this but my apartment doesn't have grounded outlets so I had to get the grounding rod. I wanted to stay with the same brand (and the official Amazon store for Earthing did not have it), so I ordered it on earthing.com. HORRIBLE. It took them 8 days after my purchase to ship it (and I emailed and left a message inquiring about when they would ship and nobody responded). I finally got my grounding rod so I could try out the grounding mat. I'm not sure if it did anything or not. I used it one day and then went to move the stake to another part of the yard that evening. The stake broke!!! The wire part came off of the metal part. So I paid $30 for a metal stake, had to wait two weeks to get it, used it a few hours and then it broke. The kicker is that on the website they have hundreds, if not thousands of glowing reviews on their products. After purchasing a product and even registering with the website, I'm not able to leave the terrible review they so desperately deserve. However, I'm able to leave a review on their official Amazon store for the shoddiness of their products (which I am doing now). I won't be surprised if I can't get a refund or if they make me jump through hoops and pay for shipping. At this point, nothing this company does to customers would surprise me. Update: they send a new rod and I have gone on to purchase more products from this brand. They did start sending me invitations to review on their website but it took like two months... the products have really helped me with a variety of health issues and I'm so glad that I came across them. Unfortunately, the most useful products have to be purchased on their website as they are not carried by Amazon....

My first time using a grounding mat so not sure how to compare it with others but I have noticed a huge difference in the swelling of my ankles. When I am consistent, this mat has helped alot! Over all I am happy with the purchase.

The mat mat is easy to use, of high quality material, durable, and easily wiped down . The weight and thickness of the mat are perfect and make the mat stable and flexible without making it stiff. I bought the Earthing Universal Mat three months ago from Amazon. I was excited about it because I heard about the incredible benefits people got from using the grounding products from The Earthing Movie. I wanted to see what it would do for me. After using the grounding mat for a few days, I was on the treadmill one day and smelled a faint burning smell. It was like something inside my body was burning. I ignored it, still believing the grounding mat was good for me. I only used the grounding mat on my chair in my office, so about three hours each morning and five hours in the evening. That's eight hours every day. I watched more interviews on YouTube with Clint Ober. He said to try to be grounded as much as possible. Most people were using the grounding mat all night. So I decided to do that. I still wasn't seeing any benefits from grounding with the mat for eight hours every day and trying to walk barefoot outside as much as possible. In The Earthing Movie and other interviews, I heard people slept much better while being grounded all night. I decided to use the grounding mat on my bed at night. I put the Earthing Universal Mat at my feet. It's been about three weeks. I used to sleep well. I would fall asleep fast and didn't wake up much during the night. However, I have difficulty falling asleep and waking up frequently after using the grounding mat. People said that they sleep much better while grounding. I'm experiencing the opposite. The other night I smelled the same burning smell as when I first started using the grounding mat. I felt like the inside of my body was burning again. I immediately took the Earthing Universal Mat off my bed and slept without it for the rest of the night. I slept better. Last night I slept the whole night without the grounding mat. I fell asleep immediately and finally slept through the night like I used to. A few weeks ago, I unplugged the grounding mat and was shocked. I'm wondering if electricity is going through me. That can't be good. I still believe that grounding is good for you, but the grounding mat creates new problems for me. It exacerbated my skin cancer. I was hoping the grounding would help it, not make it worse. Has this happened to anyone else? Could the grounding mat be defective? Why would I react adversely to using the grounding mat while everyone else benefits greatly? I've stopped using the Earthing Universal Mat because I fear what else it could be doing to my body.

I've read some reviews that say that the wire and the mat are not conductive. A few electrical engineers here said that. Well, I used to be one too. Guess what? The wire is about 99.6 kOhms (99,600 Ohms). The mat, measuring from a point on one end, to a point on the other end, is roughly 5 kOhms (or a bit more, it was not a precise measurement). I believe that this is by design. So, you have about 105 kOhms resistance from the 3 prong safety adapter, thru the wire, and thru the end of the mat. That's still enough for there to be a flow of electrons from the Earth to get grounded. Really. Mind you, grounding yourself in wet grass, or on a beach in the water is probably the best. In fact, I prefer it. But from personal experience, I can feel the effects as soon as I use the mat. So, what is your definition of 'conductivity'? The wire DOES conduct electrons, but not as readily as a wire with only 1 Ohm resistance. Again, I believe this is by design. I wouldn't feel too safe connecting a 1 Ohm wire to my body and then connecting it to the ground terminal of an electrical outlet, especially if there is a wiring fault, or an electrical storm. But that's just me. Also, the ground wiring in your house probably has some electrical noise on it, being close to the AC wiring. But that depends on how your house is wired. I'm guessing that a 100 kOhm wire would attenuate that a bit. Of course, a better option would be the grounding rod, to bypass all that. I cannot really speak to the quality of the materials at this point. I'm just here to set the record straight. The wire and mat DO conduct sufficiently for a flow of electrons to occur. Period. Of course, it is possible that the wire may silently break inside the plastic sheathing, and then becomes an open circuit (infinite resistance). It's also possible that the wire may not be properly connected or snapped in to the mat, so that would create an open circuit. Its possible that the wire may not be connected to the 3 prong adapter if the connectors are dirty, or corroded, or what have you. That's why you should get a real Ohm meter, or some kind of testing device to verify the 'conductivity'. Again, a resistance of 105 kOhms is normal and to be expected. I tried another grounding product some years ago from another company, and their wire was also around 100 kOhms. Only they were using the silver embedded in fabric. If the resistance ever goes higher than 105 kOhms, then I'l know that something is wrong.

I’ve used it once and didn’t feel anything. A friend recommended this one. May be grounded and didn’t have any issues.

Los productos para conectarse a tierra es lo más efectivo que existe para regular la energía del organismo y evitar la inflamación... Muy pocas personas lo saben y es "medicina" natural de lo más efectiva y comprobable... Ojalá más personas lo supieran y dejaran de sufrir por su salud ya que la mayoría de los problemas de salud son debido a inflamación... todas las enfermedades que terminan en "itis" son inflamación. Gastritis, artritis, etc...

After trying it for a few nights in a row, sleeping with it under my bare legs, I didn't find any difference in my sleep. Perhaps not being the original created by Clint Ober, it doesn't work the same. As a matter of fact this one is listed as the one of the be knock-off brands to avoid.
