American StandardM916802-0020A Colony Soft Handle, Chrome , Gray

This is exactly what I’ve needed and I’m kicking myself for not getting this sooner. In short, I have the Cadet handles on my shower and the small plastic grip inside broke (image one). I looked high and low for a plastic replacement to no avail...even had a plumber come out and give me a ridiculous quote.When I finally gave in and read other reviews on this product handle I thought I might as well give it a try. The second image shows my old handle on the left compared to the new handle on the right - same exact size and no plastic insert to grip.The third item is where the handle needed to be installed - I did not have to turn off the water or have any other special tool(s) - and the fourth image is the new handle installed.Again, I seriously wished I had bought this months ago to save me time and money. Something to note: there is only one handle per package, it comes with the tool similar to an Allen wrench to attach the handle, and the screw needed is already attached to the new handle - make sure to look for this.

These shower faucet handles are excellent and of much higher quality than the cheap, flimsy plastic handles that originally came with the American Standard fixture. I have the American Standard Cadet 3375 model and was skeptical if these were going to work. They are PERFECT! Super easy installation and you can feel the superior quality as soon as they are installed. They are much heavier and durable quality. These are ONLY the handles, you will need to order the adapters separately. By replacing the adapters and the handles, it's like I have a new shower! The old handles fell off fairly quickly and stripped/damaged the adapters. These handles fit on the adapters secure and tight. Fits like a glove! I had constant issues with low water pressure, which I now learned was due to the worn adapters and broken handles. Since I've installed these, the pressure is back at full force. I couldn't be more pleased with the purchase! I took before and after pictures of my shower. There is also a picture of the original, poor quality plastic handles that I replaced. I highly recommend this for American Standard shower fixtures that have the plastic handles. You won't regret this upgrade!

Great quality. Our plastic handle broke and we could not find a replacement at the local hardware store. This handle is solid metal (unlike the cheap plastic one that came with the set). I followed the other reviewers and brought a replacement adapter as well since these are hard to find. For reference the handle on theft is the original plastic one and the handle on the right is the solid metal one.

These handles are solid metal and not the chrome plastic that originally came with the faucet. The failure of the original handle was because the cheap plastic part where the set screw attaches the handle to the valve stem breaks easily. The new handles have this piece integral to the metal casting. Much better design.

Ordered 2 of these to replace the handles on my American Standard Cadet Chrome. The original handles were cheap plastic and I replaced thew twice (by buying whole set from Home Depot and just keeping handle - did not know how to get just handles). These are great in that they are metal and the inside portion is also metal. On the original they were plastic and that was the cause of breakage in the past.I thought these were missing the screws, but they are not. The screws are already in the handle and only need to be adjusted with the included Allen wrench. If you think the screws are missing when you get the handle - check inside the handle where the screw would go -- it may already be there.

These handles are what I have been dreaming about.Really loves them.

I have the same handle but it was of plastic, and it was broken. This one is perfect because It is made of metal.thank you.

Product does not replace other handles that look identical. Does not offer a photo of the back side, so no way to see if compatible with what it needs to mount to.
