I was honestly wondering what the quality and fit for this would be and it's pretty great. Fits perfectly. It is a tiny bit tighter than I would like at it's loosest so it doesn't rotate as freely as I would like, but it's certainly worth the trade off to have the Arca-Swiss foot.

Dare I say it's better than Sony's that come with the lens? Yes. Very solid, well machined, everything works as intended. It actually feels more motion free and secure than the Sony. The Sony one is very well built too but this just aesthetically, all around, feels better to me. When you free the dial to turn for portrait it feels pretty smooth and, obviously, is not scratching the lens surface. The machining is very nice and angular, not rounded, but very precise. If you use it upside down to carry the camera and the lens the angular, right angled machining, might feel a little sharp to some people but to me it is just fine. It's black, too, unlike the lens but I have a black Lenscoat skin on mine so,,, perfect! Highly Recommended!

The foot is a direct replacement for the OEM foot and is compatable with the ARCA Swiss system. Shame it's not the same colour as the Sony 70-200 f4.
