I'm newish to making candles and bodycare products and found this book extremely helpful. I've read other books that give instructions on recipes, but this book really gets into the *business* side of things and gives really helpful tips on how to create and run a successful business. The book is long (because its full of so much information!), so I recommend using the table of contents to find the topic you need information on and reading that particular section vs. trying to read through the whole book in one sitting. For anyone looking to make the transition from hobby to profession, this book is a must-have! I'm so grateful to have found this book. I grabbed this book thinking that it might be fun to explore taking a pandemic hobby to the next level, however, the book is so comprehensive that I'm now intimidated to do so! That's a compliment to the book. Literally everything you might need or want to know about growing your hobby into a business is covered here. It is a well-laid-out guidebook for anyone who is serious, and it appears to be quite up-to-date. A wonderful reference book!

Great thorough review of both soap and candlemaking. The step by-step guided directions in both sections are great for beginners. I was very appreciative to see the all of the business set-up and maintenance information annd especially such a detailed marketing. I was a little surprised that coconut wax was not included in the popular wax line up, especially since it's one of the premiere waxes popular today.Overall the author provides a very detailed account of starting a business and all of the nuances specially related to soap and candle business start-up.
