Great affordable display
I love this screen. Pretty much everything about it. My only problem is the speaker get only decent valume at full. They sound nice, just never loud, at all. After a day of using it, I realized it's like I can't even consider there to be speakers. Point of advice, get this for the picture, and just the picture. Don't expect good sound. There's mini stereo jack, so plugging up headphones, or computer speakers works just fine. I plugged in a Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 2, and it's amazing.Bottom line, perfect display, great options, nice menus, just barely has any sound.Oh, incase you're wondering, the post of the stand is built in the monitor, not removable, just the base is a separate piece. I guess it's that way to make it thin, and still tiltable. Feels like it's built well.

Another Great Asus Monitor
Had some trouble initially as the first one I received had a polarization problem where the left half of the screen had a blue tint and the right half had a green tint. Good ole' amazon exchanged it however and the new one is working great! In my opinion, 2k is better than 4k because the scaling problems that people with 4k monitors are a pain in the butt. Some reviewers complained about restricted controls of brightness, color, contrast, etc depending on which 'profile' you choose. While this is true, I found that in standard mode you can change enough settings that I can set it exactly as I want it with no problems. Also, the eye-care blue light filter works very well for late night work sessions. This is my second Asus monitor (my first has lasted 10 years and is still going strong) and so far, no complaints. Another great Asus monitor.

like I originally intended
Rather than getting a 4K display, like I originally intended, I allowed a friend to talk me into getting a 1440p display. His reasoning was that I can't play games at 4K anyway, GPUs not fast enough, so it would be a waste of money, and the 1440p display was going to be crisp enough. Well, having used apple retina screens, I was very disappointed when this monitor arrived. It took me forever to get the color balance to look right, and even then the screen just seemed waaaaaay too bright for me. It was like staring into headlights. I had to turn it down to 20 to make it bearable. And one other thing I did not care for was the way text looked on this monitor. I am a writer so text is very important to me, and the way the text looked at 1440p was just, I don't know, dotty and kind of wriggly. That's the only way I can describe it. Then there was the issue of washed out looking colors and detail in my photos. My old 1080p monitor seemed to have more detail on photos. I just don't understand. Maybe I didn't get a setting right or something, but this monitor just did not look crisp to me at all. Bright. Garish colors. Washed out grays and blacks. Nope. I am returning this monitor and buying the LG 4K monitor I was originally looking at.

Crisp, Clear with great color.
Crisp, clear with great color. This monitor does not have an AVI port and uses HDMI from your computer. This may be confusing to some who are used to the AVI connector. The instruction manual is very thin and was not much help. The HDMI cable is provided as well as a VGA cable. I am using the full 2560x1440 and it looks great.

Good display, unnecessary programs
The bezel is nice, and it seems to do exactly what is advertised. The settings and calibration are somewhat arcane with all the trademarked settings and programs, so I found it difficult to access and use the calibration features-- for instance, under certain profiles it is impossible to change the gamma or contrast. Also for some reason the monitor adapts to calibration changes from the computer and negates them in favor of their own trademarked EyeCare settings, meaning programs like f.lux work but are more difficult to implement.

Good bang for the buck, 1440p picture quality is nice
Nice bang for the buck monitor. I wanted a monitor with better resolution and possibly be able to overclock the refresh rate to get some more frames. I'd rather have a better quality picture than just normal 1080p with 144hz refresh rate. So far I have pushed the refresh rate up to 68hz in Overwatch with minimal issues and have read review that it can go to 75hz. I notice sometimes if I alt-tab out of Overwatch and watch a video I'll see stuttering in the video while the game is running in the background. Outside of that, no issues, monitor stays cool, picture quality is nice.Being this monitor is the same size as my prior 1080p gaming monitor, with the higher resolution I may have went to a 27'' screen, but definitely 5 stars for this.

Awesome for getting work in the office done, at the least.
I could not be happier with this monitor. I bought it for use at work, given the 2k resolution, so I don't have to have two monitors on my desk at once. Haven't used it for gaming or image editing so I can't speak to the image quality when doing that, just work with email, Microsoft Office, internet, etc... So freaking glad I bought it.I also really like the no bevel design, and the front looks great. The back looks alright, just wish it were matte. But aside from that preference honestly it's exactly what I was looking for.

Good for eye health, I'm happy
I am really happy with this. I bought it because I read it causes less eye strain and I'm on the computer a lot. I wasn't sure I'd notice, but found I do. My eyes feel less tired, even after hours of computer work. The screen is much sharper than my old one. Good job, Asus.

Sharp, crisp images.
Beautiful monitor. Easy to install and set up. Value is great too. Only downside is it doesn't have vesa mount and the stand is kind of ugly. But other than that, working on photo edits and playing video games is great on this monitor.
