Turtleopolis
This is so big I decided to just let my Dog live in it..... JK Honestly I have seen many of these and thought it was going to be just like the ones I saw in the past. I now see I bought Atlantis. This is so big! I only wanted a pool for my Terrarium and this is almost to big. good thing I can move around my plants to make this Goliath inside the tank.. If you are buying this just for the Turtle house your in for a surprise. This is big enough to allow your turtle to grow to the size it needs to survive. I wish they had these this big when I was a kid I would have had shelf's of them. BUY THIS BUY IT NOW!! Your kid will love you. Shipping was very thoughtful packaged well enough to ensure no damage. -update- This is for small turtles if your using it for that. I would also suggest using the power head attachment for filtration that's on the bottom outlined in plastic. I use a small 318 zoo med I stuck to the side. It offers a alternate basking site.

Exactly what is described
Some reviewers have complained about the size of this bowl, but if you look at the description, then you will know exactly what you should expect.I did have a couple of problems, and would have given it a lower score, but both of my problems were quickly resolved, so we are able to use the bowl for our small pet.1. The bowl came cracked from Amazon. I contacted Amazon, and they shipped me a new one without making me wait until my cracked one returned to their facility. I then had a month to print out the pre-paid shipping label and return the cracked one.2. My bowl did not come with the tree set. I went to the manufacturer's website, sent them an e-mail telling them what product I had and my address, and I got the trees within a couple of days.

Good for a tiny turtle
Not a habitat that I would raise a turtle in but it's good for nursing a tiny turtle back to health so that he can be released back into it's natural environment. I found a baby (tiny) turtle about the size of a half dollar in the parking lot where I work almost dried up. I've had him about a month in this habitat. When he is a little bigger I will take to our local aquarium for them to have. If you're state allows you to raise turtles, this is a good starter habitat but not something I would raise a turtle in.

I don't this would be a sufficient habitat for Turtles
First, I bought this as a container for a 5th grade science project. However, I could see this being a cool hermit crab "habitat" as opposed to those cheesy little containers you get from the beach. But I can't possible see this giving a turtle a place to live. Way too small. I would think the turtle could easily climb right out of there. I would definitely look for another home for turtle. But, it worked great for 5th grade ocean project!

Big but could use bigger side space
As out turtle grew over time, it needed a bigger pool. We would otherwise be fully satisfied with this one as it seems to fit at least 10 turtles, but our growing turtle gets stuck on the sides sometimes and can’t get all the way through to the other side. I definitely think they should’ve gave a more generous amount of space around the ‘island.'

Meh
Pretty cheaply made but serves it's purpose.

Great environment for my granddaughter's turtle
Great environment for my granddaughter's turtle. Only complaint is that, as it gets larger, it may not be able to fit between the outside wall and island. Not too wide there. It's okay for now, but eventually it will need to be replaced.

Swamped my coffee table
I've only had this bowl a couple of weeks and it was exactly what I expected. What I didn't expect was coming home to a flooded coffee table because the plastic had cracked on the margin between the bottom of the bowl and the island. The packaging called it a Mangrove Swamp but the swamp was out of the bowl, not in it.

Great depending what you use it for.
I do agree people probably shouldnt use it for a turtle especially since the animal will get bigger, how ever I purchased this to use it for my Triops, for the price, you really cant beat it, its spacious as well, cant wait to have my triops hatched and living in there.
