Masterdam Grinders Premium Large 2.5 Inch Herb Grinder with Pollen Catcher - 4 Piece Black Aluminum

I am using this for medical reasons so, it is very important what I ingest. I was not happy when I found metal particles in the ground herb. I was very diligent in following the instructions and made sure the grinder was washed and dried properly. The fact is, I washed it twice with a soft toothbrush in hot soapy water, prior to my first use. I used it 5 times and saw particles each time and noticed that the herb would gunk up around the tines. The pollen screen is a bit dense, so barely any pollen. I am disappointed. The packaging is very professional and attractive. But, I can't take a chance with it. Also, I noticed it had a lot of burrs. The machining is not uniform. I hope you find this helpful. I am throwing my other two grinders into the trash. This thing is Nice.Had my doubts but took the risk, and it was worth it.I got the 2.5" as it can properly hold the amount I desire to prepare.Very nice build quality, smooth action, actually cuts it and leaves it fluffy.Not a ground & smashed pile of dust with this baby, No sir your getting a small pile of nicely cut/ chopped material.Not a solicited review, just got it so If she goes bad ,I will come back and let you know whats up , but I expect this to be trouble free for quite awhile.

If you're wanting a grinder that is on the fine side, if you're after a good quality grinder but don't want cheap zinc or go up to $50+ grinders that do the same thing.... Look no further!Drawbacks:Aerospace grade aluminum = very light and kinda cheap feeling.Grinds so far on the fine side it could be an issue if you're vaporizer likes more coarse grinds, caveat to the convection fans!Threading while not bad, is not what I'd call buttery smoothRequires much more twisting to grind then comparable SCS grinder. I purchased the large size grinder. This grinder is really, really good and I highly recommend it. Here's why.PRICE:Comparatively - My last grinder was the same size with the same number of chambers, was lower quality, yet cost me $50. I visited a bunch of shops in LA and Venice Beach to get a new grinder, and they all were in a $35-50 price range for a similar size. Hence, Masterdam wins big time on price.FEATURES:The teeth in this grinder are super sharp and make it very easy to use. Additionally, the entire grinder is lighter weight than it seems. The screen has smaller holes than my last grinder, so I noticed that the pollen is sifted more effectively. Plus, there is a little scraper included in the bottom chamber for the pollen. Definitely a useful addition.DESIGN:This grinder looks and feels premium. When I received it, it was nicely packaged in a black drawstring bag. You can tell that this company has a great attention to detail and put a lot of effort into making a great product. This would be a nice gift for someone.OVERALL: 5/5Great look and feel, very effective and easy to use. Definitely recommend.

This is only my second grinder, the other was a zinc alloy I finally retired after 2 years of regular use. In comparison, if my memory is holding true, the masterdam has much sharper teeth and better threads between chambers than my zinc grinder had. With all aluminum I anticipate the masterdam will hold up better than my zinc grinder. The grind on the masterdam is a fine crush, but occasionally gets gunked up and I need to take a toothpick to the corners and some of the teeth for smoother turning (this might be something I just have to get used to with better quality flower available). I think I should have gotten the 2.5" to have a greater area in the middle of the grinder to keep flowers from get caught up in the corners as much, but this size fits in my kit best. The color is a nice purple that stands out in my kit also.The pollen screen is the biggest improvement over my old zinc grinder witch hasn't allowed pollen to gather even after multiple cleanings for a long time. Over all the price to quality ratio makes this a great grinder if you are in the market for a new one imo. But, if $6 really means a lot to you go for a $10 grinder that will still last you a while.

Poor quality. After cleaning it to get rid of the initial metal shards. I kept finding them, the teeth seem to rub together creating tiny metal pieces

For reference I bought the large (2.5 inch), matte green version.I've had this grinder for about 2 years, in which I used it extensively for 1 one of those years.This is a fair bit more expensive than any other grinder that I've had or even dealt with and I must say it is worth the extra price. The grinding is a lot more uniform which, if you are rolling herbs, makes the rolling a lot easier.It does have seperated layers one of which is a filter that seperates dust particles at the bottom. The edges of the bottom layer are curved and it comes with a little tool, which makes the collection of the dust extremely easy.Cleaning the grinder is not very easy though, especially the filter has a lot of particles stuck in it. It could probably be brushed out with a bit of warm soap water though if you wanted to do a full cleaning.It comes with a little black pouch which is a really nice quality. It doesn't really protect it as it is quite thin, but for presentation it is really cool.Overall this is a really good grinder. There are obviously better grinders on the market, but they seem to be way more expensive for only a slight improvement over this. This however is a massive improvement over the cheap ones that most people use for only a small step up in price.In conclusion this is well worth buying and I have been very happy about mine and I will most likely pass it on to a friend whenever I stop using it, as it seems it will last for a long time.

Absolutely love this grinder ordered Tuesday got it the next day, never expect much with grinders that you get online without really knowing what to expect or anything about what the product really looks & preforms like but I must say I've had A LOT of grinders almost every different kind and design but this by far beats them all hands down, it grinds your hmm let's say...herb perfectly, looks visually amazing & the overall design and it's features all together, makes the world of difference in the quality of the grind! You can tell there's been a lot of care and thought gone into the design of it and the overall product so hands down amazing & I love it so one.very happy customer 🙂

Been looking for a good grinder for a while now. This is definitely one of the best i have come across so far for the price. Built really well everything feels premium. The pollen collector works really well also which is something I've had issues with in past grinders. Would definitely recommend.

Easy the best Grindr of my life ! I’ve been smoking for 15 years and this grinder is amazing. Also this is my fourth one.

I've used quite a few grinders and my opinion is that you should either stick to the cheap plastic ones that cost a few pounds, or spend enough to buy one of at least this quality. This is a fantastic little product.
