Update: This adapter also works with the Switch and is even easier to connect with no additional steps required. Just plug it into one of the USB ports and an Ethernet cord into the adapter and voila, you've got a wire connection!I bought this because I was constantly getting Error Code 118-0006 (among other error codes) while trying to play Splatoon online. The box included a mini-disc for installation, but wasn't required. The adapter will fit into any of the USB ports on the Wii U. Set up was very easy. I ran an Ethernet cord from my modem to this adapter, and the USB end into the Wii U. The Adapter feels well made, and was very affordable.In order to get the Wii U to use a direct Ethernet connection do the following:Go to System SettingsSelect Internet (Should be the 1st option)Select Connect to InternetPress Y for Connection TypesSelect Wired Connections (There will be a pop up about an Adapter instruction booklet, just press OK)You will then see a Testing Connection screen, and assuming everything is set up correctly, you should see "The connection test was successful." shortly after. Press OK.Select Set for "Do you want to set this as the default connection?".Congratulations, you're finished!I also deleted my wireless connection just to ensure that my Wii U wouldn't suddenly have any confusion in the future about which connection to use, but you don't have to do it and it isn't necessary.I've had no issues with getting connected to Splatoon multi-player since.

Earbuds worked great for several months. The right earbud stopped working 2 months after short warranty.

While it worked, it was perfect, then it started to turn off intermittently, now it wont work at all, Wouldn't mind so much if it had been in constant use but it has been used twice a week since it was delivered on the 16/11/16

Great item. Lets you connect to Ethernet or RJ45 lead off a broadband hub if your wireless signal is poor by using a USB port. Ideal for devices such as notebooks and tablets that don't have an Ethernet or RJ45 port.

This product disconnects every few minutes. It isn't a one off they are just a bad product.
