LG G5 Friends Gear 360 VR R100 Virtual Reality Headset
First off, this is an ORPHANED product, do NOT look to LG to support or provide useful answers on this item. It is designed for specific phones and getting it to work with anything else is , a gamble. Even if you own the G5 or supported phones, you wont get help from LG. Ok, with that out of the way, the unit does have some nice displays, although I did find the eye correction a little limited in range as to position and usable correction for eyeglass variance. The light leakage from the sides is hugely noticeable, and could have been corrected with a better shade design. App support, THIS is where LG really dropped the ball, then kicked it under the bed! the only usable app seems to be the "3D Gallery" for browsing what media you have on your own phone. For this it worked fine. Anything else depends on "vrChannel" within their VR manager app to load additional content, you cannot justload apps from google play or anywhere else and have them work out of the box. vrChannel, will crash the manager app when launched (at least in my case) so the headset is mostly useless except for internal media browsing. You cant even mirror the phone screen to use it with the built in cameras or other stuff. Plug it in, and the vrmanager takes over. Is it a good little headset for tinkering? Maybe for an advanced programmer with too much time on their hands

The hardware is good and the available apps are good. Great for watching videos.
The headset is good and the available apps are good. The thing is, there are just not that many apps. I purchased this knowing that there were limited apps and just wanted a headset to watch videos and youtube. For that, this thing works great. I'm not sure I would have ever paid the full retail price for it with the reviews that are out there but for what I paid, it's not too bad. Believe it or not, after having read many of the reviews, I thought it was going to be worse than it actually is.Pros:Great for watching local video files and youtube videos in several different environments (theatre, home theatre, hall). Great for watching local 360 videos/pictures. It's nice not having to use my phone screen in the vr headset.More comfortable than other other heavier VR viewersCon:The biggest is that there are no apps. The headset could have been so much better if there were apps for it. The sad thing is that according to the LG documentation, cardboard apps are supported. It just requires that the developer make a few modifications to their app so that they show up in the LG VR Manager.

No Apps!
There are no LG Apps that take advantage of these besides a few demos. Not even a browser. The video player is fine, but you can't lay down and watch video because the sensors are only oriented to a sitting or standing person (with no way to switch them). I can't believe they wanted $200 for these things when they first came out.

It's ok
Good idea but it could use improvements. I like how it goes thru the usb (c type) instead of just putting the phone in some dumb headset. It's like cool but needs to a better interface and be more user friendly.

LG Gear 360 pretty awesome but there is a "Learning curve withall this Vr stuff.
Well still learning about and moving and on the "Back Burner" at the moment but good screen quality and super light.

Wait for more apps, software updates and a cheaper price.
Very little apps so far, YouTube video quality is poor, real poor. Lot of money for something you will use only a handful of times.

Wait for improved models to come out
I still don't know exactly how to operate this thing. It's very loose so the light comes in.
