Sesame Street Bath Tub Bumper - White (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

This bumper is exactly what I was hoping it would be. Sure a couple of the suction cups don't work but enough of them do and, for $19.99, I am happy w/the purchase and hold no buyers remorse.

I read many of the reviews on here about these bumpers and it seemed 50% of the buyers said this product was great and the bumpers stuck well. The other 50% said the bumpers were horrible and fell off the tub. I'm in the latter category. I have a standard tub, nothing fancy and I did everything I was supposed to beforehand. I cleaned the tub well. I tried applying the bumpers while the tub was dry and then while it was wet just to see if it made a difference. They fall off very easily and don't stay on for long at all when they do stick. My 10-month-old son can pull them off with no problem and even a high water level makes them float. I'd return them if it wasn't such a pain but I would not recommend them to anyone. Just find a way to DIY before buying these! :(

While it has a great design, and in theory would work great. It seems that they cheaped out on one major thing, the suction cups. They are warped and bent, and no matter how you put them on, including pre-wetting them etc. They don't stay. They just come off. Not a problem after the first few weeks. But after months its just annoying to keep having to readjust them.

I love this, my 10 month old twin boys love the pictures and touch and play with all the colorful characters during every bath. It gives me the security I need to bathe them together without worrying about one tipping over and bumping their head on the bath tub wall. Plus, right now they are a perfect fit to lay side to side across the tub with the bumper behind their back and feet on the other side so I can wash all the "important parts" easily. The bumper supports them and keeps them from slipping down in the water while I wash.The only negative is that it rips too easily. The suction cups hold well, but the boys grab the top and are pulling up. When they pull on it, instead of the suction cup just releasing, the plastic behind it tears away and now there is a BIG hole the size of the suction cup base. My housekeeper also ripped one trying to take it off the tub to clean the tub. You have to grab each suction cup and remove it without pulling on the bumper itself at all.I can do that, my housekeeper can do that, but little one's don't get the concept.I wish this was made of a covered foam like pool floats for adults are. It would be perfect if it was. So now I have only one bumper for the 2nd time (I've already replaced it once in the first 2 months we've had it). I am debating on whether to spend the money again and buy another set.If it were made of better material I would give it a 5 star rating. It just rips too easily in an area that should be reinforced to handle the stress of removing the bumper suction cups. It's not like we are abusing it.

This tub bumper is very easy to inflate and install around the tub and keeps my 22 month old granddaughter safe as she tries to swim in my tub. She enjoys her daily bath and this bumper allows her to have fun without the worry of hitting her head. My only complaint is that it does not stay in place. It has large suction cups but they are spaced too far apart causing the bumper to come detached whenever it is touched or when the water level reaches the bottom of the bumper. More suction cups need to be added. Even though this can be problematic, I would still recommend this product as a safety item for the bath.

Don't listen to the bad reviews. This product is perfect & functions appropriately. Protects the child from banging head on side of tub. It's worth every cent!!!!!!!!!!! Remove after each bath & allow to air dry. I installed two small clear 3M hooks inside my shower at the top & they hang from there to air dry, they are out of the way & hidden by the shower curtain.

I bought this because some of the reviews were positive. I should have paid more attention to the bad reviews. The little suction cups would not stick to my tub, so the bumpers were just floating in the tub. After a week, we pulled them out and threw them away. I wasn't going to keep wasting time with something that was just not going to work. If there were to redesign the suction cups, maybe it would be worth it, but until then, keep looking for something else.

Purchased this item about a month ago. I was very excited to use it. I had read mixed reviews but figured I'd give a try. Only half of the suction cups actually stuck to our tub. The other half seemed warped and deformed. They are kind of a pain to put on and take down every single night as we only have one bathroom so we need to shower too! I stored them by sticking them to the shower wall as they are wet when you are done using them so you can't really put them anywhere else. One night when I was very gently taking the bumper off the shower wall to get the bath ready, a suction cup pulled off and ripped a hole in the plastic. So now we are down to one. I still use it once and a while, but I guess if you supervise your child in the tub you don't really need these.

I had no idea these even existed before seeing them on Amazon! They work great and I'm at ease with my daughter in the bath now because I'm not scared of her hitting her head even when I'm there with her :)

This item shipped to us with a bid hole along the seem. The one side that was ok we tried to put in the tub but the cups would not hold it in place. Great idea but just very cheap. We returned ours.
