Provides a excellent picture, but you definitely need to make sure for MAC's you have a additional app/program to translate to that OS.

Plug n play.

Worked fine for about half a day, then suddenly died. Tried resetting, tried new cable, etc. Nothing worked. I think it might be a piece of crap...

Did not work on my Mac. It claims to be plug and play, but the drawer wouldn't even open unless I stuck a paper clip in the small hole on the front. I had installed MacGo's Blu-Ray Player software, but it would not recognize the drive's existence, with or without a disc. I'm returning it.

Excellent

The drive works well reading DVD / Blu-ray media. Your device (laptop/tablet etc.) may not be able to provide enough power for this drive through USB - keep this in mind. My Surface Pro 3 could not power the drive, so I needed to attach an external power source - not very convenient. Also keep in mind that playing commercial Blu-ray media can be a challenge because of the copyright security on the discs. Additional software is required to play Blu-ray media. The Leawo Blu-ray Play is free and works well - BUT - requires an internet connection do download the correct security codecs to play each title - I didn't realize this until I was on the road and tried to play Blu-rays (unsuccessfully). DVDs play without issue.

This is a great device, easy setup and quiet. The only down side is that it didn't come with software to playback bluray movies and the free offerings online for bluray playback is pretty bad. When you have the right software (be ready to spend an extra $50 for that) it's a really nice setup.

Works well. Seems fast enough. Never a problem reading BluRay.
