Klean KanteenCap for TK Wide Bottles

I have to replace my old cap the knerl nut on the bottom came loose and got crewed by the disposal. Sad but true, Amazon has the replacements caps and they are inexpensive and quick..

I had accidentally broken the orginal lid that came with the bottle when it fell on the spout and separated the spout plug from the lid. So I got this as an inexpensive replacement that I think is sturdier. So far it has withstood a couple of accidental drops and hasn't leaked one bit. Plus I feel like this lid has more insulation in it. I can't be certain because I didn’t do the ice melt test with the orginal fancy lid but this one I filled filled the bottle with ice to prime it then 6hrs later added fresh ice & water. A day and a half later I went to drink it and the cubes had barely melted. I honestly had forgotten about doing the test so I drank it all but I'm impressed since it was in a hot car for 10hrs.The handle feels very sturdy and really helps for closing the seal tight and easily opening it after someone with stronger hands has closed it.Also very easy to clean every last nook & crazy, rubber gasket and all.

I love the pace that the water comes out. It's a great design I never over fill my mouth and it doesn't come out to slow either. I was disappointed to see the inside of the cap was all plastic if they made a cap that was lined with stainless steel so that the water only touches steel and silicone id pay extra for it.

I have two of these and I love them. I use them every day. They keep drinks cold or hot, are sturdy and don't leak. You have to take the top apart to clean it, which I don't mind. It's not difficult. But if you aren't going to take a couple of minutes to clean it regularly, you probably won't be happy with it.

Fits correctly in bottle opening. Cap for spout has to go exactly straight on the spout, or it won't go on. It fits over the outside and inside of the end of the spout, so I push until I feel it contact, wiggle a bit, and push it down. Very tight fit, but that means no leaks, even without screwing it on. Screwing and unscrewing spout cap is a bit tight, too. I imagine it will get a bit looser over time. Spout is flexible and not hard plastic. I put this on the 64 oz TK Wide insulated bottle because it didn't have a handle. Metal loop on cap is perfect, and sturdy, just slip a couple of fingers through it and carry. Metal handle is solid, not loose at all.
