Mikasa English Countryside 5-Piece Dinnerware Set, Service for 1

This dish set is pretty, well made, and very light weight for a nice quality product. I love stonewear and wanted something that was durable and looked elegant. My husband dropped a plate on our tile floor, and I pretty much expected it was going to shatter everywhere. However, it survived the drop and looks perfect. The only thing I do wish is that the mugs were taller. They are pretty small, but work well for me because I like hot tea, and they are perfect for that.

I love these dishes. Only one saucer had a tiny black fleck, and no dishes were broken. The dishes are beautiful. They are thinner than regular stoneware, feel great, stack great. The bottom edges are polished, so they don't scratch counters. I hope they hold up over time. These dishes are just wonderful to use. The mugs are shaped differently, but are actually nice to drink from. The bowls do hold a lot and you can use for cereal. We enjoy pasta in them. I really love these dishes and may buy a second set if the first set proves sturdy over time.

I’m so very glad I was able to fine this China pattern. My husband dropped a plate in the sink and broke 2 or 3 dishes and this replacement was just what we needed.

I would have given 5 stars because this dishes are beautiful but when i received the box two of the dishes were broken.

BEUATIFUL DISHES! Unfortunately the shipping packaging is the worst I ever saw. Thin cardboard, no wrapping, no tape in carton. No wonder the breakage was so high. Set of 4 usable from the whole experience.

These dishes were packaged well and arrived without any damage, which was my main concern. I already have these dishes and just needed more to increase my set. While this set was not cheap, it was cheaper than buying individual plates, which was what I really needed.

We’ve been using our Mikasa English Countryside dinnerware for more than 20 years & I was heartbroken when our local dept. store stopped carrying it & the Mikasa outlets closed. The years passed & slowly our set dwindled due to breakage. I was ecstatic to find it on Amazon & now we have a new set to replenish our originals! Thank you Amazon!

This is a beautiful and durable set of dinnerware which we use for entertaining. We got 8 sets of these when we were married several years ago and we added a couple of more to our collection this year. Although they are well taken care of, they have been been through the diswasher and used and we haven't gotten one chip or found one blemish in the set.

I received it in good condition without any broken or broken parts.And It's a more luxurious and sophisticated design than my expectation so that I won't get tired of! I really liked it and gonna buy another series of countryside also.

I looked for a long time for what I wanted and I finally found it on Amazon. The pattern is lovely, the dishes are solid but not too heavy. No issues. They were packed really well. What sold me on these was what another reviewer said. “ “Eating is a visual experience and this set enhances any dish” and it does.Another reviewer also noted that the dinner plates are big so your cupboard need to be deep and luckily mine are!!Very pleased.
