It really is loud
Someone who is hard of hearing could hear this; loud almost like a smoke alarm. A little hard to learn how to set it.

Not Extra Loud
I have used this kitchen timer a few times. I need to pay attention to hear it in a quiet room, especially when it is magnetically-mounted on the refrigerator door and the behind-the-case speaker is muted.It is not *extra* loud as described. Or I need my hearing checked but a year ago, it was fine…

Not Extra Loud as advertised
I bought this timer to be extra loud for a kitchen in a business. It's not even as loud as several others i have that were significantly cheaper.

A nearly deaf person (me) can hear it 2 rooms away!
This time is very easy to use and works perfectly! The best part is that I can hear it plainly even though I am considered legally deaf!

Not for my old ears
The high frequency beep is no good for my old ears ... for me everything over 3000 hz is gone ..
