Q: Are the planets 3D or flat?

They are not 3D but they are very pretty. The video does not do the colors any justice. In the video the projector is setting on a kid size table. When it is on th floor it covers more of the ceiling. Hope that makes sense

Q: Would they be big enough for a school auditorium?

No, they are pretty small. It comes with a lot- but you probably won’t be able to see them in that setting. They are maybe 5 inches big if I had to guess.

Q: Are all planets the same size?

The are different sizes. I would recommend this item. Used them for my daughters birthday party and it looked great.
