Rago Women's Six-Strap Shaper Garter Belt

Though really I bought mine as more of a fashion item (though having it to hold up my socks was on my mind as well), this garterbelt is comfortable, practical, and holds up even thicker cotton socks despite the clips not being those metal ones with the teeth and everything, like what you typically find on suspenders. It also smoothed my tummy out and really makes you feel "supported".I have to say it was certainly smaller than expected, which is fine since I had to order up since they recommended ordering up if your waist is 10 inches or more than your waist and they didn't carry my exact size anyway. It fit pretty snugly on me, it pinched a little at the waist but nothing bad, no real bulges (which is why I went with this one as opposed to a simple elastic garter belt). The belt seems to stretch and hold well, but is likely to cause bulges? So I'd be a little wary of that when picking a sizeAll in all, a fantastic belt! Bought 2 of these (one black, one white) for my wife. She loves them, and I love that she wears them now more than pantyhose, because the classic 6-strap design looks so sexy on her. She likes that she can wear whatever panties she wants with them, or none, and it's more convenient than pantyhose when she goes to the ladies room (TMI? Sorry, but she really likes that about them). It takes her an extra two minutes to get ready when she wears one instead of pantyhose, but it's worth it for both of us: even though she's getting used to it, she says feeling the straps against her skin as she walks still often turns her on. I believe it, because sometimes, when she gets home from work, she takes me by the hand and says "I want to talk to you" and leads me straight into the bedroom. Seriously, buying her these was a really good thing for our relationship. They seem to be really well made, and the shimmery fabric is pretty. They also eliminate the little bit of muffin top she used to get with some outfits. These are nothing like the flimsy "sex shop" garter belts. These are the real deal.My wife adds: in case you're new to wearing a garterbelt: put your panties on AFTER you put on the belt and stockings, not before as they show in the product pictures. They do that so you can see the belt better.

The size that I had ordered was an XL/32 in style 72522. This is a high waist garter belt by Rago New York (You may have difficulty if you are use to using low waist garters.) The band is quite small and has a slight stretch that allows expansion in the hips. My figure is wide and having a larger back does not create any issues with wearing (for those with big booties.) My hips move up with an hourglass waist, so this size is personally more comfortable. One strap was not properly sewn down, which may give after a few weeks requiring slight additional sewing. The overall construction of the belt is very nice, you may wish to order an XXL if they have it in stock.Any size below an XL is going to be very small.XL is a Small/MedXXL is a Large

There are pros and cons to this garter belt/waist shaper. The pros are that the garter clips are strong and easy to adjust. The cons are that the belt runs small and the clips in the back tend to dig in when sitting for long periods. I wear this to the office under my skirts and dresses. It does a great job at holding up my stockings. I would definitely recommend sizing up. I have a 28" waist and ordered the 30" belt based on other reviews. Even the 30" belt is really snug. It holds everything in, but after 12 hours of wear it can get uncomfortable. This belt is definitely better than the flimsy boudoir type that are meant for show and not utility, but I do wish there was adjustable hooks for the waist rather than being a pull-on belt. For the price, I can't complain too much. it's a good value overall, just be sure to size up.

A couple notes on fit: 1) At 30.5" waist and 41" hip, an XL fits me perfect. My vanity hurts, but it'll get over it. 2) IF YOU ARE SHORT -- STRAP LENGTH MAY BE AN ISSUE. I'm 5'2" with the legs to match, and have difficulty finding stockings that don't come up to my crotch. The straps don't go that short, however, and I've ended up rolling the stockings down in front so that they can be pulled taut. The belt still functions great, but it's not pretty.This belt is lovely and very comfortable - no poky boning or itchy seams here. There's just enough detail to be pretty without feeling like it's "special occasion" lingerie. This is my second Rago product and I'm very happy with the brand quality.

Ordered two sizes up based on reviews saying it was too small and it was still too small (per their sizing chart I should be L, ordered XXL). It's shapewear, yes, but it was way too tight even for that.Also, fails at being a garter belt as the clips do not stay, the front ones in particular always came off whenever I sat down. They hold fine when standing but as soon as there was no tension they come right off. The clips to adjust the strap length also do not hold very well, they became loose almost immediately and one of them was actually not even attached when the product arrived, though I was able to attach it myself. Not that it helped, the clip promptly did nothing to keep the strap at the right length.For a product whose only job is to fit and hold up stockings, I'm impressed with how thoroughly it failed. It does nothing right.

The sizing is accurate. Well made and smooth material stays exactly where it's supposed to. The 6 garters make your stockings fit and remain perfect. I wear this all day with confidence and feel good in it. The men love it. You get what you pay for. Good by pantyhose!

When i first tried this on i thought it was a little big as i am a size 12 to small 14 but once i had attached my stockings the fit was much better, still a little big but not really anything major as i wear other shapewear so the overall fit is very good and smooth, also the metal clips give a much more secure feel so wont fall down when dancing.

Suspenders work well. Ideal for wearing support stockings.
