Reef Men's Phantom Ii Flip-Flop

If you're a lifelong flop flop wearer but you think that you can no longer wear Reefs because you're an older dude and your life of exercise has been rewarded with arthritis, dodgy knees, hips or ankles, these beauties are an absolute revelation. Surf-style cool-looking leather, but with a beautifully comfortable bouncy trainer-type sole and a raised padded arch to support your feet and overall posture. Just brilliant.

Orthotic shape takes a bit of getting use to (2-3 days for me) but now they are so compfortable and my knee pain has reduced greatly. Dont wear them continually at the beginning gradually build up to allow your joints to realign themselves over a period of a couple of weeks.

Not for me. I suffer from bad plantar fasciitis and thought these would be the ones to have, but the arch support feels a little too high and the compound is not nearly as soft and comfortable as the cushion bounce. I can see these would be great for long walks if you dont suffer too badly from foot pain though. Really nice shape and strap is a good snug fit to stop them falling off over rougher ground. Very nice design and would have kept them if it wasnt for my stupid feet.

Its been 3 years of daily use, and the sandals are still in great condition! They are very comfortable and supporive, as advertised.

Great replacement to my previous pair of Reef flip-flops. This pair as with my previous are very comfortable and fit snugly so you don't have to grip the shoes with your toes like with some other brands/designs of flip-flops.

the first pair was eaten by the dog after several years of heavy wear! they would have lasted a lifetime had the dog not eat them!

Second pair of Reef flip-flops and just as thick as first. My first lasted for years with almost daily wear. Although these are pricier than others, they've been worth it for their durability. I prefer one like this with the strap on the outside; albeit it's not as snugw, but it suits me perfectly. They still stay put when wet, don't slip, and require little effort to keep on. Great value overall.

These flip flops actually have a high arch!! I was surprised, they don’t have just a little bit of added foam it is an arch molded from the sole to provide that support you need. I could imagine standing in these for hours with very little issue. Walking is very comfortable and the arch kind of minimizes the “flip flop” noise as well. They are more rigid than cheap foam but not clunky. The bottoms are actual rubber with a pattern that will give you traction on multiple surfaces. Overall quality of these is fantastic, no burrs on the strap or sole and you can feel that these are built solid and even being a larger guy I don’t feel these will fall apart and haven’t failed me in comfort either. My only surprise is that I usually wear a 12 in like Adidas and these I needed to go up to a 13. I thought having an arch and not being so flat my foot wouldn’t moosh out enough to require a 13 so I think these are just a half size too small so keep that in mind when ordering.

Always liked the comfort and look of Reef sandals, but the arch support was lacking. These solve that problem, and still have the comfort of the original. Size is true and I even got a compliment from the wife on the look. Would buy again.
