Very nice but orange
Well made and light. Really liked it but it came in an orange tone that I couldn't keep so I sent it back.

good for sitting on a flat surface, not suitable for sitting on my knee
Professional Bookrest iPad Stand, Tablet Stand and Book Holder is for me a good option for holding large recipe books or even your iPad or tablet which is especially useful if following a recipe etc.I also found it handy for holding my iPad or tablet on a side table.I could not get it to sit straight or even in a comfortable position if I tried to balance the holder on my knee. It was uncomfortable also to have it resting on my knee etc.It is a useful design and holds the tablet or book securely if placed on a flat surface.Happy to recommend sitting on a flat solid surface therefore I am happy to recommend this book holder as a solid option.

Solid Durable Wood with 4 Adjustable Heights
This is a solid, well made book rest doubling up as a device holder as well – the stand that holds the book is deep enough and the metal clips are not too tight that it will cause damage to the book/device but secure enough to hold it in place with rubbery/silicone edges for more protection. The wood is thick and durable, it has a slight orangey tinge to it, probably my least favourite thing about it, smooth edges and fold flat when not in use.4 adjustable heights - The back has 4 grooves for the stand to rest offering different angles of viewing (which besides the orangey colour this is my only negative) although once the stand is on the groove it feels secure enough on firm surfaces, but it isn’t securely slotted in enough not to be bumped and knocked over. If there was a way to ensure the back isn’t going to keep coming away from the grooves it would be 5 stars. it is still a lovely made to last item that is practical and handy.

Ok for paper books, iPad, phablet....but not suitable for labtops, even small ones.
I wanted a stand for my tablet, but even tho this is ok for my iPad and small tablets, it's not that wonderful for my 10" chromebook., J.— tried this with their 15" laptop and struggled to get it to sit nice. Saying that at least it holds my phablet at a nice height for when I'm at the table; also when I'm lying on my bed I have this flat and so it stops my tablet from angling back too much that I find difficult to see.I finding it a tadbit heavy on my lap so is best to either have this laying flat on bed or at a level on the table/desk.The stand folds down so I can store it away in my laptop bag to keep clean.

Lightweight, multi angle, useful book/tablet rest
Wasn’t sure whether I’d like this, but actually it’s quite nice. It’s definitely lightweight which is great. It’s a strange orange colour though, so if you’re particular about colours it might not be to your taste. Despite being lightweight, it feels fairly sturdy. The back stand is sort of like a deck chair! Varying grooves for varying heights so you can find the right angle for you. The clips are firm but fairly forgiving so if used properly won’t rip your pages or scuff your tablet. Holds book or tablet nicely, of varying chunkiness. Not good used on the knee, but perfect on the bed or on a hard surface - basically it doesn’t need to be a firm surface, but flat is best. Doesn’t take up too much room. The hinges are a little wonky and probably not the most sturdy so hopefully longevity won’t be adversely affected.

Would have got 5 stars if it wasn't so expensive...
I received this item through the Amazon Vine programme. This is a well made and nicely presented item. It is entirely made of wood and stained a rather striking orange, which I liked but is maybe not to everyone's taste. It is adjustable in angle and there are prongs to hold the pages of a book open in place. It functions just as well for an iPad or similar. All the parts are hinged and it can fold completely flat for storage.I would have given it 5 stars except for the price, £19.99, which I think is too high as there are several close alternatives available on the Amazon site for two-thirds of the cost; it therefore isn't very good value for money.

Strong
This book/tablet stand seems very stable in use. There's a slot at the bottom to enable you to have your tablet or device on charge, which is useful. The two levers to hold the book open work well and are simple to use. I like the design. It has enough settings to be able to use sitting - reading at a table - or standing - carrying a cookery book which you work. The colour, however, is awful. Garish, in my opinion. I'm sure if the manufacturers wanted one single colour they could have chosen something more restful, like cream of a pale sage green. It's expensive for what it is - largely plywood. Mine had a number of dents on the stand as though it had been hit by a blunt object. It doesn't impair the working but it would be a negative thing if you'd ordered it for a gift.
