This IS a DIY'ers and occasional tree/pole climber (homeowners) MUST HAVE.
Half an hour after opening the delivery box, I was comfortably resting about 12 feet from the ground with my spikes dug in and my safety belt adjusted and locked. I've never used any sort of equipment like this before. I just tied those babies to my boots and fitted the belt to my waist, and soon there after I gave my neighbor the "finger" and lite a cigarette while looking over his privacy fence. All this happiness for less than $100.I plan on 5 to 10 uses trimming my own trees. Usually I free climb with my chainsaw. SAFE FOR 100 BUCKS!!And, the zip-ties you can see in the pictures only hold a pad in place; not a safety issue, but a comfort one.

Break your neck!
Terrible design! Pole gas are tiny like for new telephone poles only, no trees with bark! Put together with zip ties of all things. Very uncomfortable, chaffing bad, not for actually doing work once you're able to get up one. I'm returning these.

Appeared well built.
Good value and Not bad overall but a bit too short on the calf. I returned them and bought an adjustable pair.

What?!
These are definitely made for someone with little legs and feeet. Not enough padding. Rubbed legs and ankles raw. Don’t purchase

Not adjustable uncomfortable to use. PAINFUL!
These would have been better if you could adjust the height of the top pads. There just a cheap small plastic pad with the smallest amount of foam on them and then a bunch of zipties. They work ok actually just horribly painful to wear. Im 6'2" and these dig into my shins badly and after i used these for an hour my shins were scraped up and bleeding. There needs to be some serious padding added and these need to adjust better. I want to return them but i used them a bit?

Not up to standard
This product is very cheaply made with zip ties and child shin guards and some green ribbon for ties I mean this is to support a grown man climbing the side of a tree! These are not safe nor are they professional tree climbing gear at all.

Spikes are very good
But the collers that rap around your leg is not comfortable. They need to work on that part. But sureCan't complain about the price.

Working strap too short, spike assembly poorly engineered
This tree climbing kit did not work at all. The working strap would not reach around a 20" tree, the spike assembly was of poor design, and barely stayed on my boots. I would not recommend this kit to anyone.
