HIGHLY RECOMMEND
This is worth every cent! I've tried using an iron as well as a flat iron (Chi) for sealing Mylar bags and it is labor intensive requiring multiple attempts with not much success. This crimper seals perfectly FIRST time and EVERY time. I also like the variable temperature settings as well as the protective stand for surfaces. It elevates the bag so that the contents aren't falling out when attempting to seal. It was an investment, however, it takes the guesswork out of properly sealing bags. I've actually been able to cut bags in half, seal the cut end thus doubling my Mylar bag quantity for smaller items. I could have saved money by purchasing the smaller length, but I took the advice of another reviewer and purchased this 12" length. It eliminates the process of having to seal the wider bags twice to cover the width.

Works but Can't Control Consistency
I've used this on a variety of mylar bags as well as some other types not really intended for this use.I like to be able to seal large bags of fertilizer, bird seed, squirrel food, etc. This works but you have to be careful to not go too hot or too long. The bigger issue is I'm not confident, based on the dial control, on what temp I'm really using. It's situational based on the surrounding environment. Not a terrible issue to deal with but takes some trial and error.I've used this for various dry goods (coffee, beans, etc) and jerky with mylar bags. It takes some adjusting, again, based on temp control. It works but not as easy as it could/ should be with reliable temp settings.

Solid sealer with room for improvement
I received this hand crimper sealer, and it’s been a reliable tool for my poly and Mylar/foil bag needs. The wide elements and crimping pattern create a strong, consistent seal, which is exactly what I was looking for. The build quality feels sturdy, making it dependable for frequent use. However, the temperature control can be a bit tricky to dial in, as it’s not very precise. This makes finding the perfect setting challenging at times, but once I find the right temp, it performs well.Overall, this sealer works great for my needs, and with improved temperature control, it would be an excellent product.

Does the job very well
This product is used to seal bags so that oxygen can not enter food and cause it to spoil. When a bag is sealed properly, food remains fresher for a longer period of time. This product works exceptionally well!

Works super on 7mm mylar bags
works great. Only need to use a 3-3.5 for heat on my 7mm mylar bags! Well worth the price. I love that there are 5 ridges, I am assured that I am getting a full seal with just one press of the handle. Stand is a bit weird and takes getting use to, but over all the product works great!

Solid quality but unusable due to no temperature control
Solidly built unit, however it has no control over temperature, only a power control using a cheap in-line light-dimmer. This results in wild temperature swings depending on time between each seal, how long it has warmed up, material being sealed, etc. This open-loop heater control leads to inconsistent (and untrustworthy) bonds. This is a major disappointment since the product is unusable as-is and it would have been easy for them to add a thermostat control of some kind to keep the temperature within a safe range. That said, it's easy enough to remove the dimmer and replace with an inexpensive PID controller. There's enough room in the jaw mechanism to install a stubby thermocouple for the new controller, even if it's only monitoring one element. For me, the combination of a PID and the solid build quality gave me a first-class product, but I basically had to redesign large parts of it at my own expense and no doubt void the warranty.

110V equipment not suitable for my country.
Since the voltage is incorrect, the product works but get much hotter, so settings are all wrong.
