Perfect Replacement!
I purchased three of these replacement battery pack's for my controllers, that all seemed to die around the same time. The shipping was fast and on time, bubble wrapped and packaged nicely. The battery's came in a sealed plastic package along with a small precision Phillips screw driver and of course the battery. Most of the products made at a cheap price are made over seas and the quality control is lacking in some area. I try not to give the "installation guides" or "product print", that is poorly translated to Engrish, bad reviews. Come on people, its a $5 battery, what do you expect? The install of these can be a little tricky because it requires you to open the controller. There are plenty of how-to's on Utube.Install went great but it does take some skill, because the trigger buttons are spring loaded so if the case is completely pulled apart it wont "fly out" but will come off the fulcrum. The screw driver serves it's purpose but of course is made of cheap material causing it to strip out easily. Recommend a quality set of precision.Overall this is a great product, it works just like it should and even holds a charge longer than OEM. The mAh on factory I believe is 1k mAh where as these are 1200mAh, you can even get up to 1800 I believe. Higher mAh means better capacity but also more heat. The fitment was a little tight but worked perfectly, I used a small set of needle nose to remove OEM battery terminal.I do recommend that you let them all thoroughly charge before using to achieve the best results. It is going on two months now and they are holding up well, the run time has dropped a little (maybe 30min?) but its hardly noticeable, I would gladly buy these again to save myself over $100 for new controllers!! I give these a 5 Star rating, they work perfectly and are cheeeeap!I might be able to upload some pictures here soon, keep you posted.

Great battery replacement for your Playstation 3 controller.
I purchased this battery to replace the internal battery of a PlayStation 3 controller. When the controller would function perfectly while plugged in, but wouldn't charge, I presumed that a dead battery was the problem. I first researched buying a replacement controller, but mine is white and the white PS3 controllers are no longer manufactured and are difficult to find. Thus began my search for a replacement battery. I ordered this from Amazon and two days later it was in my hands. I opened it and was pleased to find that a small screwdriver to be used to open the controller was included in the package. I watched a couple of YouTube videos on how to replace the battery and went to work. Once I had the controller apart, I gently unplugged the old battery and inserted the new one. Mine was exactly the same size as the old battery and fit perfectly. As the videos advise, be careful to avoid dislodging the triggers after you unscrew the controller and separate the two parts. If you do dislodge them (I did as I put the controller back together) don't despair, YouTube also has videos on how to easily fix that. After all was said and done, I have a controller that is good as new and a battery that recharges and keeps it charged for a very long time. I am very satisfied with my purchase and so pleased to avoid the loss of my white controller.

Cheap and Works Great!
This battery is great for people who love long gaming sessions on the PS3. Although is wasn't what I needed to fix one of my older controllers, I popped the battery into another controller and have already experience twice as much battery life than with the standard OEM (original equipment manufacturer) battery. Be warned! Unless you know how to dismantle and reassemble a PS3 controller, do not do this by yourself. If you can, go on YouTube and check out some videos. Of course, I did not need to since I do this all the time but for novices or inexperienced users, do not do this without aid!

ps3 controller battery replacement
I ordered 2 of these replacement batteries for $2.95 each + $5.47 which came to $11.47 total. I had one ps3 controller that would not hold a charge and another controller I have owned for about the same amount of time. I would be surprised if the other controller I have doesn't stop soon. New ps3 controllers still cost about $50 each. So for less than 12 bucks I should be good for a while. Much better than spending at least $100 to buy new ones. When it comes to installing these batteries, look up a how to video on youtube. Do this before you even try to open your controller up. There are several to choose from and some are more detailed than others. You could break your controller if you are not careful. The problem I had was the R1 and R2 buttons came apart when I opened the controller case. That was very hard to get back together. A few little pieces need to go back just right or your controller will be dead for good.Make sure you have a mini screwdriver and a flashlight. When the R1 R2 buttons came apart I needed a head lamp and about 20 minutes to get it back together. If you are careful you might not have those buttons fall apart.

I gave it a try, didnt work in the end
One day my ps3 controller wouldnt turn on, so i googled and decided i might as well try a new battery. So i checked out different ones and based on the reviews i ordered this one. At first it worked fine, batter was fully charged, but i put it on the charger all night anyway. The next morning i used it just about all day, and i left the controller on to kill it(to set charge memory). Unfortunately the controller didnt turn on and when i went to charge it nothing happened. I dont believe this would be the controller, seeing it worked fine on the original batter. Maybe in due time ill try another one, maybe i just got a bad one.In the end its worth it to try and save a controller that costs 60$ new with a 7$ battery. Whether it fixes it or not is probably 50/50.
