It's hard to find methylcobalamin that you can afford. This fits the bill.

This is the right one, most others are actually bad for you having poison in them, read labels

I like to double the dose as I don't process B12 well and need lots of it. There is also a higher dose (5000mcg) but it doesn't taste as unimposingly candy like as this one does. The higher dose is not bad tasting. This little one dissolves quickly but doesn't disintegrate in the bottle, tastes fine though and keeps me going. Now if I could just find a complex and a D so easy to take...Why the star reduction? While I'm sure it's a great excipient, the source and process are not identified and further, I don't think it really needs all the mannitol, or other sugar/sugar liquor to make it such a sweet tart. Seems like the stearic acid would be enough of a binder but I'm no chemist. I have no idea what is in the "natural cherry flavor", wish they would disclose that, or just use "real" cherry flavor, not any "natural" lab variety that may have red 40 in it (I hope this doesn't). Maybe less mag stearate (hopefully it's only on the equipment and not actually in the pill) would mean less sugar required for balance? Anyway, the cellulose which would normally be an issue for me is not in this little barrel tab. So even with the sugar it's pretty balanced and I'm happy to have it.

I really don't know if this is doing anything beneficial, I just take it because some tests indicated a B12 deficiency. I just pop it in, let it dissolve, and trust that it's working its magic. It doesn't taste awful, but also not so delicious that I want to chomp on a handful, either.

I've been taking this brand for years, however the coating and the nuggets no longer dissolve with my last order. The coating delaminated on a few and the pill itself barely dissolved. I am disappointed since this is the only brand that worked for me. Vegans need to have a reliable, quality, and consistent source of B12, we can't afford to not have it work.
