Awesome little trainset for the price!
The Bachmann Thoroughbred is a great set for anyone looking to get into H/O scale model railroading. It comes with a well working engine, 2 freight cars and a caboose. The track oval is a decent size with room to put buildings in the middle. Great for new model railroaders to get started!

Awesome first model train!
This was the best gift!! It was easy to put together and super easy to operate my 4 year old is obsessed!! The tracks are smooth and everything came as it showed on the box. We haven’t had any issues so far and he’s already asking for more tracks! 10/10 recommend for a someone who’s getting into model trains!

Derailing tips
Clicks together easily, decent track size. Speed controller works well.Haven't had any issues with derailing. If you are check to make sure the metal clips on the ends of each rail piece are properly seated. If only 1 side (or one end or no end) is in the clip your track will have a bump and be more likely to derail.They are small metal clips on opposing ends of each side of the track section. Don't just click the plastic base together. Check to see each rail is mated with its opposing clip.
