This works surprisingly well to "refurbish" dishwasher racks. The liquid "vinyl" paint dries quite quickly. so be sure everything is sanded and cleaned before you start. It "set up" a little for me around the top of the bottle, so I used a chopstick to get to the bottom of the container.The "caps" are rather hard to get onto the tines. I wrangled most of them down by pushing and turning, but a few would just not go down. The first time I ran the dishwasher, I just pushed them the rest of the way down while they were warm from the cycle.

Paint covers well and drys in a few hours. The plastic tips cover and protect many of the dishwashers racks and help protect the surfaces we painted as well.

I had areas rusting on my dishwasher racks, especially the bottom rack, and this product worked great at covering and stopping it. I’ve only had to touch up one spot in the last few months, and it was the worst area that needed to be treated. The sooner you use it, the better your patch jobs will look, but it’s still better than looking at rusty racks in any case. I would definitely buy this product again.

I have a Frigidaire dishwasher a couple years old—machine works fine but the racks are rusting out—I left the door open and dried the machine out a a day and a half—did the repairs, and left the door open to dry it for 24 hrs before running it. It’s been about 2 weeks of at least daily use, and so far the repairs are holding up! I was having problems with rust spots on my dishes from the rusty rack, and some of the rack tips had actually broken off or were in the process. I put some of the paint under the new rubber tips to seal them. Very happy with this product—I bought some similar paint at a box store a while back and it wasn’t as thick and rubbery as this paint, and it didn’t work.

I have used a similar product some time back. The paint in this kit is much thinner than what I used before. I'll see if this lasts as long as the previous product (5+ years)

If you have a rusty dishwasher drawer - DON'T WAIT like I did. GET THIS NOW.My very old Correlware is completely rusted along every edge because I never bothered to do anything about the dishwasher. I got some new pretty dishes recently and decided to finally take action.With just one kit I was able to do my entire dishwasher. I didn't have enough little rubber plugs to do EVERY rusty spike, but honestly, some of them were so rusty and thick that I couldn't have gotten a plug on them if I tried. A few of the half bad ones I cut a small slit in the plug to get it on and that worked, but for the really bad ones the little nail polish like bottle was IDEAL. I had enough to do all the rest of the really bad spikes and even more - spots along the bottom and side of the drawers, too.I waited several weeks to write this review. All is well. I was impressed that one kit was all I needed. Thank you for saving my new dishes. A+

Once I got this, I thought I'd start with using the caps to cover the rusted tines. I thought it was just going to be a few, but I ended up using all 30. In my investigation, I discovered way more rust than I realized was on it. The number of hours it was going to take for me to fix all the rust spots (sanding and painting them) made me decide to not bother. (I also found out that the model of dishwasher I've got has design flaws, so that cemented my not using this product.) Anyway, I'd recommend carefully checking out your racks from multiple angles before embarking on this project.Also, you should more or less ignore my rating since I decided not to use it. I will say that the little bottle I got had a cream/beige colored liquid, but parts of the bottle were stained/painted white on the inside. I think that comes from part of the paint drying out in the bottle.

I spent the extra five dollars ignoring the popular knockoff on Amazon and went for this because it's associated with appliance makers. Worked fine.I put some rust remover and treatment on the rack with one of those gel sprays -- didn't look that different after, maybe a little cleaner. I then put this on in about four or five layers for the real rusty spots. There were no problems applying it. It's a thick liquid and I retightened the cap after almost every individual location just to keep it fresh. No drips that bothered me. It has a nail polish brush lid. It went pretty quick all things considered and saves you over a hundred dollars, plus you may not find the exact original rack anymore.Maybe I used a third of the bottle, maybe less. We will just do it again if more rust spots appear or the current reappear. Wife is very happy. Easy.

This product was easy to apply and covered the rust spots on the racks in my dishwasher. So far it's working well after 1 month. Plastic tips work well too. Stay in place and protect the dishes.
