They can't miss you with this fine light!
Boy, I am sure glad I got this light instead of the Endure 2800 Pro. Back in 1997 I bought its NiCad powered processor, the NightHawk. Finally the batteries bit the dust on that light. It was bright, but the Nighthawk battery was heavy! My application is a Easy Racers Goldrush recumbent bicycle with a full front fairing. The light mounts BEHIND the fairing and has to penetrate the Lexan to illuminate the road. I do a good bit of night riding on 2 lane county roads with no shoulder. The left LED has a little wider beam than the right, so I ride with that most of the time. When I get out of the city on cloudy nights, I turn it on high with both beams. It lights up the roads brighter than most car lights on high! The fairing looks like a big bubble floating down the road. I actually had an oncoming car stop and complain that my light was just too bright for her!On full blast, run time is a little more than 1.5 hours, which is what was advertised. It is brighter than the Nitghhawk that preceded it, with a much lighter battery pack.A nice touch is the green indicators on top, which tell you which beams are operating. The only gripe I had it that I wish it had a separate cable for changing, so it was necessary to unplug the light cable every night when I recharge.I will always run with Niterider headlights. All totaled, this is the fourth one I have bought.

OMG it is so good to have enough LIGHT for a change, but the BATTERY IS LAME!
The media could not be loaded. I've been trying other Nite Rider lights and been nothing but disappointed with the anemic output and short battery life, but this baby really pumps out the lumens. If you ride at night for extended periods in areas where there are no streetlights, as I do, this is the light you need. Even on the lowest power setting it surpasses most lights, and on its brightest setting, it's like instant daylight! The attached video is on the lowest power setting. The flashing light is a second light. The real problem is the battery:1) Battery life is too short. At the lowest light setting after an hour it's already only half full.2) Power plug, kind of D-shaped, is a terrible design, hard to line up, hard to push in, hard to pull out. Why not a simple plug?3) Lumpy battery is hard to mount and remove. You have to either use up a water bottle mount and it still takes a long time to mount and unmount the battery, or you have to mount it kind of loosely on a frame member. Takes 20 minutes to mount - what a crazy design. What I did to make it better was cut off a water bottle and stick the battery inside with a little foam to cushion the battery and that works - see the photo I attached. Why couldn't Nite Rider come up with something that easy to mount and unmount?

I love this 3600
11/29/2017-I had a close call one morning recently (dark) with a car turning left in front of me with a lower niterider light. It's pretty bright but still happened. I decided to get serious with safety. It's been4 rides so far and this light is the best. It's plenty in the lower modes for night time riding which is the only rides I'm doing currently. The flash mode keeps the cars away. It gets brighter by recruiting one side then the other then both. The second brightness mode is adequate for complete darkness and the third and forth are bonus. Run time is good for a combination of flashing and 3600 mode. A 40 mile ride partly in dark had plenty of battery remaining. I was worried about the weight but it's not noticeable to me. The battery is large. But as with all winter riding with heavy clothing the 3600 contribution seems minuscule compared to the safety benefits. Cars go way around you. In combo with radar system it doesn't get better. It sets nicely next to a computer with easy to use handlebar mount. You can purchase separately a helmet mount. Niterider sells a 3600 unit that is programmable(why? Seems unnecessary). Even from the rear the cars see this light. I still recommend rear lighting of course. Why give up riding in Nov-Dec-Jan just because it's dark. I can't think of any criticism yet....it's only been 4 rides. Continued.

This light is very bright and does an amazing job illuminating the trail
This light is very bright and does an amazing job illuminating the trail. I do most of my rides at night. Most rides are 2-3 hours.I Got a dud battery pack with this unit. It wont hold out on the second level of brightness for the whole 3 hour ride. If I put it the output higher it drops right down on the battery level indicator.I received this light and it seemed like an open box, scratches on the battery pack and clearly not a factory job. I did leave negative feedback on the sellers page. This is a very expensive light. I purchased another battery pack because I dont trust the one it came with. That pack is amazing! I get the advertised usage out of it. Overall if my original purchase came with the pack I have now this would be a five star review.I feel like overall the issue is with the seller and not the light. I was sold a "new" light that didn't hold anything close to the advertised battery life so its getting a mediocre review.I had several night rides with it right after I got it and didn't feel comfortable trying to return the now used light. It is my fault for not reaching out to the seller right away and addressing the issue. I also didn't have a baseline for what a "good one" would have been. The process of evaluating a product takes time. When I realized I had a dud I was outside of my return window.
