I used to purchase this identical product in the bulk herb and spice section of my local natural food store. I was paying $1.50 per ounce - which works out to a whopping TWENTY FOUR DOLLARS PER POUND !!!! Usually buying food from the bulk bin is much lower priced BUT when I saw this great seasoning for sale on Amazon I was amazed how much lower the price is.Really, I rarely eat tacos - but I like to use this as an all purpose spice - my favorite recipie is to take a mandolin vegetable slicer and slice thin slices - like the thickness of potato chips - then I very lightly coat the sweet potatoes with EVO - then sprinkle this spice all over the sliced sweet potatoes - put it all on a cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes or until crispy. Wonderful substitute for potato chips and greasy corn chips.This seasoning is quite versatile and I use it as an all purpose seasoning. I LOVE THAT IT IS SALT FREE - every time I look at the label of a herbal seasoning bottled spice mix there is a TON of added salt - like just one serving of the spice mix has up to 10 percent of the daily allowance of sodium.This taco spice blend is so flavorful and savory I do not at all miss the lack of salt - in fact THAT is why I am now a regular customer and chose it as a staple Subscribe and Save item in my Amazon accountFrontier brand is highly reputable and specializes in all natural and organic herbs and spices. I have been a loyal customer of theirs for many decades - NONE OF THEIR HERBS OR SPICES ARE IRRADIATED - the vast majority of supermarket brand herbs and spices like McCormick are IRRADIATED but it is rarely labeled on the packaging. Spices and herbs have quite a long shelf life if they are packaged properly and securely stored in the kitchen shelf. Really WHAT is the reason for IRRADIATING herbs and spices? Absolutely NONE?

Wonderful seasoning especially for a low sodium diet

I use a heaping spoon at a time to make taco meat. Tastes like "old el paso" brand without the chemicals.Add a little salt and just right. This is my second bag. One bag fits a 1 qt wide mouth mason jar just fine.

It has a good flavor. Comes in a good sized package for the price. It is a bargain apparent to most salt free taco mixes out there. And it is very hard To find salt free seasoning. Is in the store of any kind. And most of the time when you do it's really expensive. And you only get a very little amount of the seasoning.

We have this on auto-ship because I have found so many extra uses for this besides basic taco meat. Add some to pressure cooker w chicken breast and toss in a can of tomatoes for great ‘salsa chicken’.I also put this in tortilla soup, on mojo pork loin, and anytime I want to move the flavor palate of a dish toward ‘Mexican’.The flavors in this are great. We add to taco meat as well as rice.I add some salt back in, of course, but no where the levels of even the “low sodium” packets.
