Great price
My old indexing value stopped working. I went to my local sprinkler supply house and they had one and told me it would be $130. I immediately placed the Amazon order for about half the price. It was delivered the next day by mid afternoon. I didn’t think it would get here that fast so wasn’t ready to install it. This morning I installed it and it works great.

At first, skeptical, but then - works GREAT!
Even after 55 years of doing engineering and irrigation work, I had either forgotten or did not know about these indexing valves. Worked flawlessly and saved the cost of three (3) 1-1/4" valves (which easily cost over $100 each). AND, because I only needed one signal wire (besides the obvious common), I freed up three (3) spaces in my existing 6-station clock for other needs.I will also admit that the programming was not so obvious in that I had to use the single station to turn the valve on/off in order to index each outlet. A pleasant call/emails to K-Rain easily solved my concerns. So, kudos to K-Rain.That said, installation was still a challenge in a setting trying to install it so the valve box would be flush with the surface of the soil. I must admit I failed as when I dug the mail line and lateral trenches, "I" failed to account for the depth needed to install/have access to the 90-degree angle required for the laterals from each of the outlets. Since the indexer MUST BE mounted in the vertical position (mostly because that is where the access to removing the cover - if needed - is) the total depth of the mains and the laterals is at least 16" and to bury the valve box flush requires at least 18". WHY? Because in order to glue all the fittings and adjust the fittings to various angles for clearance from each other, without a 30" x 18" minimum hole, you simply cannot work in a less confined space. To solve some of my failure to make a big enough hole, I used a male adapter/female adapter combo and the first three feet of each outlet use high pressure flexible 1-1/4" PVC spa hose (rated at 100 psi) - [Since I have city water at 90 psi - but the laterals are only pressurized to 30 psi during actual operation, a 3.3:1 safety margin against blow out.All-in-all, a moderate learning curve, but now I know about the hole size, if needed I would certainly buy this again as a HUGE PREFERENCE over individual valves. Mine was a retrofit, but I can see an enormous price/labor advantage over a traditional system in any new installation.

Works great
I've been using this product for about three months, and at one point I had to open it up to try to get it to resume switching zones, but other than that it has worked flawlessly! It is a solid design and hopefully will last a while.

Needed a new indexing valve due to old one after 18 years leaking badly.
Received it quickly, installed it easily, and it worked. Done!

Back in Business!
The K-Rain 4404 indexing valve with 4 outlets & 4 zones worked perfectly like the original. Makes a big difference replacing a 22-year old valve baked in the hot Florida sun. Easy to install/glue in place once you obtain the plastic pipe fittings for your setup.

Inquire about the type of cam installed in the valve, at the time of purchase.
Although, the valve made it in perfect condition, it came equipped with the wrong cam. Unfortunately, it took extensive research to uncover the flaw. In fact I had to purchase at an additional cost the appropriate cam to accommodate the amount of Irrigation fields in my home. Other than the aforementioned stated, the valve funtioned as designed. Thank you
