what's the difference between these and their older version?

They may “look” like the older version, however, the new version is of a much lesser quality. The sizing is different, the materials are different, and the bottom of the sandal is no longer the non slip rubber of prior years. For example: The new size 13 is 3/4” shorter in length and is 1/4”narrower. FYI: Reef was bought out in 2018. This is precisely when quality dropped and they thought nobody would notice other than their share holders!

Is this for one sandal or a pair of sandals?

You actually end up recieving 3 sandals. When you buy a pair, they include a free ambidextrous sandal. If you lose one then the extra will fit either foot. Talk about forward thinking! Just WOW!

How long is size 11? Hubby needs a new pair, but can't remember what size he has.

I’d suggest buying at least 1-size larger than your shoe size. If you have flat/wide feet you might even need to go up two full sizes. Around 2018 Reef was bought out and it appears that size adjustments were made. For example, a size 13 is now 1/4” narrower and 3/4” shorter in length than they were 4+ years ago! I thought either Amazon sent the wrong size or that I had ordered the wrong size…nope! Invoice, stickers and labels all indicate a size 13.

Will these fly off my feet? Will I have to grip them with my toes every time I take a step?

I can't honestly answer this as I have opposable big toes. My toes naturally grip these bad boys like a monkey foot grips a vine while climbing. A grown man couldn't pry these things off my feet with both hands and a crowbar.

Slippery on tiled floors and mud/dust patches stays

Slippery in tiles floors also if dust and mud get in it stays until you washed and brushed off with water this is annoying since I need to wash the flip flop every time . Cannot just wipe it away .

Great fit. I got an 11. I normally am a 10 or 10.5. The Sandle is a harder material but I'm sure it will soften over time. Very comfortable as usual for reef

Die sind de besten Flipflops die ich jemals gekauft hatte, würde gerne 10 Sterne dafür geben. Leicht, bequem, wassertauglich. Selbst für kleinere Wanderungen super geeignet. Ich habe im Sommer fast nix anderes an, es sei denn Sandalen mit besserem Halt werden benötigt. Leider schon Auslaufmodell, ich habe mir schnell noch zwei geholt weil das neuere Modell zu schwer und weniger bequem ist. Dem Kollegen, wem ich die weiterempfohlen hatte, gefallen die auch sehr.
