Good Programmer
Works great. No real instructions on how to use it but got it working. Inexpensive and does the job.

Incredible product but expect a learning curve!
The tricky part is getting to know the insides and outs of this, including updating the firmware (my 1st hurdle), then figuring out how to connect. This bundle did not come with enough cable headers for my MSI board (with an 11-pin SPI header), so had to do some soldering and splicing. You can directly flash an 8-pin chip on board, but HIGHLY recommend purchasing the SPI CHIP CLIP directly from the manufacturer (embeddedcomputers dot net), it has the correct cable to pin header arrangement that plugs into the flashcat PCB, and can take out a lot of guess work and problems. Their support is FANTASTIC. Send an email with a question and get a response back in just a few hours or less. These guys are the BEST out there for this sort of thing. The manual could use some more "walk-through" type content

Got my motherboard back up and running!
This programmer was pretty easy to use. A BIOS update bricked my MSI b150i gaming pro ac mobo when I tried to update to version 1.8. My options were either send this board back to MSI to have it flashed or try and do it myself. This tool was great because the specific MSI connections needed are shown in the manual. The software auto-detected the chipset and easily allowed me to flash the mobo back to the working v1.5 bios. The computer is back up and working now!

It works after some engineering effort
Poor documentation for the pin-out of the connector . Cables that came with really useless, had to order another cable. However the device itself works as advertised. Be sure to download and install the latest software.

Probably would work, if I had the adapters, and the right OS. Otherwise, disappointing.
Poorly documented. Many of it's advertised features require adapters that are only available from one website. Only works with one piece of software that runs on Windows.
