LoSaltIodized Salt, 12.35-Ounce (Pack of 3)

This salt is perfect for people who want to reduce their salt intake gradually. After adapting to using this it's easier to move down to the 50/50 salt and for those who need to eliminate salt altogether it's a good first step. Expensive but worth the money.

I like LoSalt better than Morton's lite salt because LoSalt has even more potassium (K+). It's easy to get too much sodium (Na+) and too little potassium in one's diet these days. Using LoSalt at home helps me to reverse that imbalance to some degree. I've tried 100% KCl and I find it bitter tasting, but LoSalt, even with 60% K+ it has no off flavors. It tastes to me like 100% NaCl.I used to buy this locally but in the last few months it's disappeared from the shelves. So glad I found it on Amazon. I like that both the iodized and non-iodized version are available.UPDATE: I bought this through Amazon for $26.79 in July 2015. Now in Jan 2016 it's $39.97. That's a crazy increase! What the heck happened? $10 per container?! I'm going to look harder locally.

I cannot use this salt. I have CKD and have used Salt Sense for years. The manufacturer has stopped making Salt Sense and I thought No Salt could be a replacement. No Salt taste saltier than regular table Salt. To show 66% less is deceiving.

I have come back to write a review of this as I purchased it sometime ago. I tried it and I didn't think that it was all that! However, I have tried a number of salt substitutes and lower sodium alternatives and now I actually find that I think this one is the best. I was using Nosalt, which I do like but not on everything. And I have also used Morton's Lite salt however, I think this has it over that one, tooo! I do wish it was a bit cheaper but I will still purchase It even at this price!

That is never true (for me at least) with regular iodized salt. I wonder if there is a chemical interaction of the iodide compound they use with potassium chlorides, which constitutes 66% of this brand of salt (making it my favorite low sodium salt product).I don’t use it as table salt because of the aftertaste is quite noticeable and peculiar. But the odd aftertaste is not noticeable when it is used in cooking. So that is how I use it, exclusively.

I probably "should" have given this five stars, but I didn't because it is, after all, just salt, and salt is not expensive. Having said that, I realize that this is "special" salt, and something like this doesn't just happen, but it takes time and work to make a product like this that is more healthy than regular table salt. For me, this LoSalt has been (maybe literally) a lifesaver, or at least it contributes to my longevity (hopefully). When I learned I had prediabetes, I tried to find ways to make changes in my life, and one of those changes was to reduce sodium. I searched for alternatives to regular table salt, and lo and behold! I found LoSalt. It doesn't taste quite (that's in italics that you can't see) like regular salt, but it doesn't taste terrible, and you do get used to it after awhile. I use it in the place of regular table salt regularly, in all dishes, on all foods.

I use Iodized Lowsalt, instead of conventional no salt products with better results. If you look at the label, you will see heat healthy components. It tastes like real salt but is far more healthy.I use it several times a day to gt it's many benefits.Highly recommended..

I started using LoSalt several years ago for diet purposes. My local grocery stores no longer carry it so of course I knew I could find it on Amazon. The cost through Amazon is cheaper than I was paying at the grocery store. I really like LoSalt because it has the flavor of regular salt but is not as salty (if that makes sense). If you are looking for a low sodium salt this is a great choice.
