I absolutely love this machine!
When my regular washing machine broke, I couldn't afford to buy a new one at the time so I ended up ordering a Della portable machine and I will never go back to regular machines again. You have to keep in mind that it is not designed for large or heavy loads but the Della does an excellent job of washing all the clothes and linens every week for a family of 3. I have had it for over a year now and the biggest issue is that the spinner is a little frustrating to use because with certain items, you have to fuss around with it to get it to spin without banging against the side and making a horrible noise. We don't spin dry anything larger than a large bath towel and we only put the spinner on for less than a minute to save on wear and tear because I am sure that the spinner will be the first thing to break. Then, everything goes outside to hang-dry, and, even in the winter - which is actually pretty mild here in central California - most items will dry within a day, or sooner if the wind is blowing. The spinner really is pretty flimsy but for the cost of the machine and just a little bit of effort on our part to baby the machine, it has lasted longer than I expected and far exceeded its value. In fact, I was here today on my Amazon account preparing to order another Della to have on hand before my current one bites the dust but I am saddened to see it in my wish list with a note saying that it currently is not available. :-( I really hope they become available again soon.Another slightly annoying thing about the Della (and apparently it's a common thing among portable washers...at least the cheap ones) is that the intake and drain hoses are pretty cheesy and don't fit any of my household faucets. I have my Della sitting beside my bathtub with the drain hose draped over the bathtub. I just have to make sure it is nicely settled into the tub before draining or the hose will fall out and sling water all over the bathroom. Wheeeee! Also, since the intake hose doesn't fit our faucets, we just fill it up with a bucket. We were using a garden hose that we fed through the house from outside but it's just easier to deal with a bucket, and we get a good workout while doing our weekly laundry. :-) Also, between the drain hose slinging water and water slopping out of the bucket as we pour it into the machine, the bathroom floor does get pretty wet but we just roll with it and make Bathroom Cleaning Day the same day as Laundry Day. Eventually, I would like to figure out a way to have the water drain outside into my garden because the gray water is supposed to be really good for plants but for now, the machine is working really well in the bathroom and I am really happy with it.Oh, and if you have cats, they like to sit on top but their weight is too heavy for the lids and the one over the spinner cracked in no time from the cats jumping on it but it is only a cosmetic thing and doesn't affect the function of the machine. I did have a couple of cats jump up when they didn't realize the lid was open and they took a little swim in the water but other than losing a little pride, they were fine once they licked themselves dry, and it only took each one once to learn to check to see if the lid is closed before jumping up. LOLSo, I am very happy with my Della portable washing machine and I really hope they become available again so that I can stick with what I know and not have to try out a different brand. Amazon, please bring back the Dellas! (Hopefully before my current one breaks. :-P)

Very efficient compact washer
I bought a Della mini washer in August 2016 and it was great for several months. A few weeks ago the agitator function decreased greatly. It would barely agitate the water, and wouldn't move at all with clothes in it. It was disappointing, to say the least. I could find no troubleshooting information and the warranty had long expired. I decided to buy another Della washer and add the 3-year warranty. I was unable to buy the same model but this seems to be an updated model of the same washer.I bought this on January 5 and it was delivered today (January 12). Everything seems to be great. The agitator function is strong, the spin dryer is excellent and the pump is incredibly useful. For the price, this is an excellent washer. It cleans as efficiently as any standard washer and the spin dryer does an excellent job of removing most of the water. I use this in conjunction with the Sonya portable dryer and only have to dry laundry for a minimal amount of time.I am able to wash two pairs of ladies cotton pants or skirts and two blouses or a complete set of full sized sheets (top and bottom sheets, pillow cases) or three thick bath towels. I could probably add more, but feel like laundry may not be as clean if I did.My usual process is:- Fill the washer with water and laundry, add detergent and wash for a full 15 minutes- Drain water- Fill the washer with water again for a rinse cycle, add fabric softener and wash for 9 minutes- Drain water- Use spin dryer on half the wash load for 3 minutes- Use spin dryer on remaining road for 3 minutesI do not spin dry the clothes between the wash and rinse cycles. I did during my initial use of the washer, but find it's really not necessary. The second wash/rinse cycle really gets the job done.It is great to be able to do laundry from home again. For those without in-home laundry hook-ups, this is a fantastic alternative and is so much more convenient that going to a Laundromat. As inexpensive as it is, it might even be worth having on hand for those with full sized in-home washers/dryers as a back-up if the larger machine breaks down.***Though the Della description and technical details do not mention it, this model does have a built-in pump.***
