Design Toscano Emmett The Gargoyle Statue: Large

Wanted some gargoyle figures for my garden and thought these were great for the price. Hung them on the front of my lava rock outdoor shower on long masonry screws. One fell off after the first day but the screw was still there and the other one was still hanging. Unfortunately there was now a big gaping hole where the small keyhole for hanging had been. I will now have to rig a fish line harness to hang it up again. I think these are more for Halloween decorations and shouldn’t be displayed all year round.

Although Emmett would probably prefer a loftier perch, he has a very important job in our household. In addition to warding off evil spirits, he also weighs down the lamp so it won't tip over! He's darling, and makes a great house guest!

You cannot go wrong with Toscano! I had Gargoyle (not Toscano) that had broke and wanted to find a close replacement. Although I didn't want to spend a lot I decided to go with this because I have a few Toscano pieces and knew it would be quality. It was even better than I imagined. Well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. He made a great addition to my garden.

We live in the Northeast so this is not something to leave out in the winter months. But it's a cute addition and unique from all the normal bunnies, gnomes, and other type of garden decor. We added blue 'eyes' to it and named it, put it up high and made him the 'guardian' of our patio all summer long. We liked the extra large size and while not heavy it is sturdy enough not to tip over in the wind. Have ordered the smaller version as house-warming gifts and receivers have always been happy with it!

The statue arrived very well packaged and in a timely manner. The statue is super cute, however I am disappointed in how lightweight the statue is and I am concerned as some of the paint seems to be flaking off .I'm not sure how this will hold up outside as it was purchased for my garden. It almost seems better suited for indoor decor as it does not seem very durable.

We purchased this to sit in our new garden. We were very excited. we love how he looks and thought he was perfect. Now that he has been sitting in the backyard for a couple of weeks, we noticed the paint is flaking from off of his head. For the price of this, and since it's advertised as outdoor, I would expect better quality. ESPECIALLY from Design Toscano, as we own several items from Design Toscano already. We are looking to purchase several different Gargoyles for outside, but now I'm a little worried to spend the money on them from this store.

He guards my front door! I love this little guy. Plan on sprucing him up with Mardi Gras beads!

Very happy with these products from this company. I bought 3 different gargoyles as a gift. They look great on a bookshelf, in a garden, or anywhere. They are lightweight, so if you are going to put them outside, in a very windy environment, I would suggest securing them or weighing them down.

Very light and plasticy, nothing like stone at all, so quite disappointed as I was expecting something more substantial for the money. On the plus side, it doesn't look too bad from a distance but wouldn't recommend.

This Statue is obviously hollow plastic and very light it suits me because I have it displayed inside but if you are going to put it outside it will need some holes drilling in the bottom and filling with something because it will get blown around the garden, I paid £29.95 when it was on sale and for me that was too much.

Love this so much. Am having a new wall built and have ordered two of these to be cemented onto the pillars at the entrance to my drive.

Absolutely over the Moon with them. Excellent value for Money. I have the larger one and Mum loved it so have got these for her Christmas Box she will be so happy!

Great gargoyle! Been looking for a while for a companion for Gabriel,he was delivered in a huge box with lots of wadding,so in perfect condition.thank you Amazon he is just perfect!
