Good, Natural Looking, Hair Product
Overall this is a good hair product for people looking to keep their hair in place. Scent: Unoffensive scent with a nice smell unlike some of the other Axe hair creams. This scent goes away almost completely within the first hour of being in your hair. Use and Appearance: I have pretty short hair and I'm just trying to keep the top in place throughout the day. Initially through the first few hours (3-4 hours) it holds really well and looks natural and great (hence the name). If you're like me and do a lot of stuff throughout the day, it might not last until the end of the night. You'll have to most likely re-apply at some point which is a pain. For me, I tried to use more than usual and it still flattened out by the end of the night. The hair looks great with this for the first 3 hours and then starts to flatten gradually and lose it's form. The look isn't crusty or obnoxious but rather "natural" and clean. Depending on how much you use, it might (in the first hours) be noticeable by touch but it does not look glossy or shiny. You really do not need much of this to get it to work. Follow the directions under the cap. For me, a couple of dime size amounts work fine. Longevity: This is the only gripe I have. I wish it held uniformly and consistently throughout the day. It does flatten, as mentioned above almost to the point of working itself completely out of your hair. Either use more or re-apply. Overall, it smells good, works good and looks perfect. I do recommend. EDIT: Added one star because this styling cream does exactly what it's intended to do: look natural while keeping hair in form. Over the months, I've seemingly gotten better at using it so the results have gotten better and it functions as intended. Don't expect this to be a strong effective hold on, say, slicking your hair back.

Great hair cream!
I use this product nearly daily. I like that it has a decent hold but isn’t crunchy in my hair. It is water based so rinses easily and doesn’t get gummy. It doesn’t create an unnatural shine like some other products. It doesn’t have an odor/smell which I like. I highly recommend.

... any complicated hard holding styles then this is a great choice! The container comes a lot of product ...
If you don't wanna spend too much and aren't doing any complicated hard holding styles then this is a great choice! The container comes a lot of product when you get it. It is a cream which is a lot looser holding and less dense than a clay, but this is what I like a bout it and see where I could use it. Normally I'm not a huge fan of the strong axe smell, BUT this smells good to me since it's not too overwhelming. I followed the instructions for application and I think it makes a difference for what the product is supposed to do. I applied in damp hair and made sure to rub the product in palms before applying. This actually seemed to change the consistency and make it less watery. The paste is really good for adding texture to your hair. I have fine silky hair and it, when applied right, gave mine a volume and texture that just looks touchable. If I had to describe it, it looks like you have gone a day or two without washing to let natural oils into hair and let hair do its thing. Hence the natural look. I would say that this alone is perfect for the guy that is minimalistic and doesn't want to spend too much time styling. It takes a super straight flat cut and gives it just enough life to make it either look like you care somewhat or that you woke up and just brushed your naturally great hair into position. However, this stuff is not enough if you want your hair to hold any specific shape. Hair will still be floppy and lay limp, for straight fine hair. So don't expect it to hold anything after it dries. I do think it could add a nice texture when paired with high hold and styling techniques for the guy that prefers to have that kind of hair style. Over all, it does what it says, it's not the top of the line compared to more expensive products, but for the anticipated price of axe products, it is good and will give the texture and little life for the low maintenance Guy's doo.

Not the best......
This hair creme works okay with a few flaws. First of all this stuff is doesn't have a very good hold, it won't hold my hair up without the help of a hairdryer. Even when I blow dry my hair the hold still starts to get loose towards the end of the day. The greatest fault if this product is that it is very hard to wash out. I have medium length hair and it takes 3 shampooings to get all of the creme washed out. I also am not a huge fan of the smell. Now for the few things that I do like. Throughout the day you can always run your hands through your hair and not get an oily or sticky feeling all over your hands. When I run my hands through my hair my hair feels far softer than normal. I also like how little of the product you have to use. Now here is how I apply the product to my hair: 1. First I get my hair soaking wet and then lightly dry it. 2. Then I rub a half pea sized amount of the product in my hands until it turns white. 3. After that I run my hands throughout my hair. 4. Proceeding that step I comb my hair into a spiked up type style. 5. To maintain that style I blow dry my hair. 6. Lastly if I need a little bit of extra hold I spray my hair with some hairspray. In order to get the best results I would recommend following the steps above. Again this stuff is okay, not great. After this product is gone I will try American Crew's Pomade. I wouldn't recommend buying this product because I know that a little bit more money could be paid for a far superior product. I will update on if American Crew is worth the extra money. (Update) I decided to raise this item to 5 stars because it actually works very well now and washes out easily. The hold isn't magnificent but it'll keep my thick head of hair up for the day. ^^^UPDATE^^^ I have found a far better hair product than this. It is called "Paul Mitchell Medium Hold Hair Cream" Please check this out! You won't be disappointed! I am also going to try Tgi bed head and see how that turns out. I have heard only good things about it so it will probably be my next everyday hair product.

Great value, great product
Excellent value and price, can be used in multiple ways. Use more for a more slick look, use less and comb through for a natural barely there look. Very nice to have both options in one product.

Hair cream
This pomade holds good but tends to get clumps, looks like it dries out a bit and it doesn't last me more than six hours in humid weather

Great product for a subtle look
I just recently started styling my hair after having long hair for years. I wanted something that would have a relatively natural look that doesn't make it obvious that I have product in my hair. This cream is perfect for that. Whether I go with a messy look or a clean part, this cream has worked well for multiple styles and it does not have a glossy look at all. The holding power is pretty decent and a finger tip is usually enough unless I want it to hold up a bit of hair. The jar comes in looking half empty but after a few uses it settles on the bottom and I still have plenty after a month of every day usage. A few minutes in a light rain is usually enough to undo the cream which is a bummer since it has rained every day this month, but humidity has not affected it at all. When put into wet hair it tends to still be able to hold its shape, but will tend to harden a bit more keeping hair into large bundles. The smell is nice and not overpowering overall I cannot recommend enough. Pros: - Low Key look - Great holding power - Good subtle smell - Versatility for multiple styles - Jar is going on 6 weeks of usage - Lasts all day even with breaking a light sweat. Cons: - Rain easily undoes the hold - Need to dry your hair for best effect.

Perfect
Been using this product for many years. For me, it has just enough hold that my hair isn't crazy but also doesn't look like I have a helmet on. It also doesn't have a strong scent. I've tried a lot of other products and this is the perfect one for me. If they ever discontinue it, I hope I know first so I can get a pallet of it.

Bizarre

Similar to Understated
I could no longer find Axe Understated and if this isn't the same thing it seems pretty close. I like it to control the frizz without looking like there obvious product in my hair.
