I was really worried about spending more money on my 1954 Ford NAA, cause the original starter sheared a new bendix. I’m not sure what’s wrong with the original starter, but when i put this on, it made a world of difference. No more grinding or lagging to disengage!

Got a for 641 that i smoked the old starter on. removed the oil filter, unbolted the power and then the 3 bolts for the old starter, removed the paper sleeve around the shaft of the new started, inserted the new starter and bolted it on, reinstalled the oil filter and power cable and she fired right up. cant speak to longevity(the last one was original i believe and lets be real, its 2022 and the thing is from 1961) so it may not last as long but for how much i use it its great
