BMX Bike Gyro Brake Cables Front + Rear (Upper + Lower) Spinner Rotor Set Kit

After reading through some of the reviews, I wasn't sure it was going to fit my bike. So, let me set the record straight: If you are replacing a gyro, or building a 80's-90's BMX/freestyle bike with a threaded 1" fork, then THIS IS FOR YOU! If you aren't hung up on brands, or labels or being era-perfect on your rebuild, I can't imagine a better solution for the price. It comes with EVERYTHING you need (top and lower rotor plates, the actual rotor itself, and the cables. And while I can't be exactly sure it comes with every order, mine came with brake cables for the front AND rear brakes, so you can replace all your cables at once if you run f/r brakes. Honestly, I was surprised at what I got, and the quality, for the price. For what most companies charge for just the cable, you can replace the entire thing. I do wish the actual metal parts came in colors, besides black and silver, but for the price its hard to complain. Will definitely be ordering again!

The price is good. I like to color selection. The upper and lower cable attachments are sized to fit the smaller diameter stems. The bearing part fits the 1.125 diameter thread-less type also. The cables are good quality.

What!? All this for Eleven bucks! Yeup, believe it. Redoing my 17 year old Redline Slash. Was looking for white cables and came across this detangler setup and took a chance. While this is for threaded forks, it will work with threadless forks. If you are replacing your existing detangler all you need to do is keep your upper housing and you're good to go. If not, just spend an extra Five bucks and buy an upper housing suited for 1 1/8 threadless forks and your setup is complete. Perfect fit! Front brake cable was a perfect fit. All I had to do to the rear line was slide the housing off the line, cut the rear brake cable housing, not the cable itself, add a cable housing coupler then make the necessary cuts to the cable at the caliper. Got the vintage, 80's Freestyle look I was looking for.

Although the description doesn't mention it at the time of this review, these cables ARE teflon lined. The top gyro cable is long enough for the larger 80s BMX/freestyle handlebars, which was a big concern considering many cables are way too short to reach the levers (the top rotor cable housing is approx 14") I typically drip oil through the cable lines and let them sit overnight so the oil has a chance to trickle through the lines, which gives them additional lubrication. Afterwards, they pull VERY smoothly once installed... every bit as good as the name brand cables I have on other bikes. Mine also came with a front cable, which was a pleasant surprise. Some other reviews stating the white cables have black splitter barrels are accurate, but a quick hit with white spray paint took care of that (that part is metal so it's easy to paint). Would definitely recommend!

I wanted red cables since my three "Official" bikes are black with red and white accents. Gyro cables are something I can't build myself so I had to order the only red ones I could find on amazon without breaking the bank. The lower cable was good and long enough to fit every possible app. The upper one wasn't. Short travel and hard pressed ferrule which couldn't be cut nor refitted without losing the entire purpose of the cable particular setup. The travel was literally about 5mm. The gyro part included is basic and heavy. I just needed the cables, so they live now in the "Just in case" box. In sum, I ended up ditching the gyro altogether and installing regular cables and sleeves. Red, of Course.

East to install but does take a little cutting to size works great so far

I see most negative reviews are from people who failed to do their research. You cannot beat these cables for the price. I ordered a second set after the first set worked great on one of our bikes. You can view the photos to see if the cables fit, but it appears some people purchase blindly. Great deal for great product!
