Great product to get rid of birds, but need to consider your own setup/use.
I normally don't write reviews but I felt the need to write one about this product. I've had it for about 2 weeks now and it's been working great! We had a problem with birds in a specific area of our backyard/pool where they would gather and crap all of our pool/spa area. Since I installed this thing, it starts going off and the birds fly away. It seems less and less birds even try to drink water out of the pool these days. The amount of bird crap everywhere has dropped a considerable amount too. Not completely gone yet, but much much better. I gave it 5 starts because I don't know how much better they could have done with this product, but a few things to consider when buying it. You have the option to use batteries or electrical power. Obviously the long term electrical would be better to use. But depending on where you may need to place the unit, it may be a bit of a chore to get power there (again, not the sellers problem, its mine). You could of course use batteries and change them out when needed if its too much trouble to run the electrical. I ended up buying a small LCD TV mount and attaching the device to it, then mounting the TV mount to a pergola near the trouble area. Then I ran an electrical wire and put the unit on a outdoor wifi switch, so I could turn it on and off as need from my smart phone. Few reasons for that, 1 if you have dogs it will go off when the dogs or people walk by, which could be annoying. The wifi outlet I got allows me to turn it off at sunset and on at sunrise automatically, so it won't annoying the neighbors at night. 2, in my situation, its near my pool so obviously don't want it going off while we are using the pool, so thats why the wifi/electrical option was the best for me. You have to actually open the unit up to turn it off, there isn't a really accessible on/off switch. So if you need to turn it on and off often, I would go with the electrical power option. So just keep that in mind, but the unit works great and does what its supposed to do.

Worked for a couple days
It worked for a couple days but the birds got use to it. We played with all the settings and locations over three weeks but finally sent it back when the birds were pecking right next to it as it flashed and beeped. The noise also drove our dog crazy. We were so hopeful the first couples days but we now have huge holes in the siding we just fixed.

to Sparrows who fly and crap all over our driveway
Ive had this going for maybe 2 weeks. I purchased this as an option for our driveway, as we have all sorts of birds from: Robins, Pigeons, Black Birds, to Sparrows who fly and crap all over our driveway, not to mention my car. The only thing that I can say somewhat negative about the product is that the sound being emitted from the unit is audible to some. If you are able to hear high frequencies then you will hear this. I can hear high frequencies myself and I can hear this unit in doors, which does not bother me, however it apparently bothers my neighbor who rents the house across the street from me. He came over to say that this device was hurting his and his families ears ( which it really is not that bad). On the highest frequency it almost sounds like your ears are ringing slightly accompanied by 4 clicks. Both my parents who work out in the yard claim they cannot hear this only the 4 click sounds it makes, even my sister in law stopped over and she could barely hear it. On the lowest setting it makes very audible low tone beeps like an Atari video game that anyone could hear. I had sent an email to Cleanrth explaining my dilemma asking for any other solution that would not annoy my pansy of a neighbor, unfortunately they did not have any- HOWEVER, this very nice individual named Michelle responded back to me and apologized for the inconvenience to both me and my neighbor. She then offered to refund my money and allow me to keep the device for free. I declined that offer stating it was not necessary as it had only be 24 hours since the device was up and working. I finally set the sound and strobe to sensor only and set the sensitivity to medium. The unit seems to work as the sensor picks up moving body heat from people, cars, possibly birds. Since this past Saturday, I've noticed a Robin walking around on our front lawn. When it gets in range of this repeller it does activate- The Robin didn't seem exactly scared but also wasn't sure to make of it, so it kept its distance and stayed on our other neighbors lawn.I saw the same Robin again this AM prior to writing this review and it seem to be skeptical of moving any closer towards my front lawn. So from what I witnessed there I would have to say it seems like this is working- hopefully it will keep working. I also noted my complaining neighbor out Saturday who every once in awhile when this repeller would activate, would stare at our house and point and mutter to his friends standing with him. He's going to have to get over it. If I have to make a choice between his freak super sonic ears and my car... My car wins hands down.

Don’t give up after the first week. Adjust the frequency to find the one the birds hate.
I like the fact that it was easy to set up and operate. I’m not convinced that it’s going to hold up during heavy rainstorm as these access panel in the back does not seem to be waterproof. I may have to build a little miniature umbrella over the thing. After the first week, it did not seem to be working. So I adjusted the frequency setting as per the instructions and that really did the job. The birds no longer came by and avoided my backyard so within about 100 feet of this unit. There was a slight downside to the adjustment, the neighbor could hear the frequency setting the second week but did not hear it the first week you might keep this in mind

Don't use this!
Don't waste your money if you have a problem with barn swallows. I have problems with barn swallows nesting and roosting on my front porch; it's an ideal spot for their kind of nest. I installed the device as soon as I received it; however, I believe I installed it too high because it didn't detect the birds when they flew under the porch entry so I moved it. I had the setting on ultra-sonic so we couldn't hear it. That didn't seem to work as the birds just ignored it. I changed the settings to be more sensitive and adjusted the sound setting to audible. That didn't work either. I caught a bird resting on top of the device. I adjusted it again to be louder and set the sensitivity as high as it would go. This morning I had to knock down the beginnings of a nest right beside the device!

Expensive useless toy
This product does not work as advertised at all. The device is doing something as I see light and hear some sounds that the device makes (not in all modes). I changed the settings multiple times and waited for several weeks for the expected results, but I still did not get them. For the last 6 months, the birds have been behaving the same way as before I installed this device - the birds fly in and eat the food that I put out for the cats. The return period is very short and as the instructions say if the device does not give the desired result, do not despair, change the settings and wait for the result. And do it again and again until you get the expected result. And then the return period may expire while you are waiting for the expected result so you will not get your money back and you will add junk to the garage.

Did what I thought was impossible
Before purchasing, I read the reviews and asked on open question regarding it's ability to repel buzzards. The answers were all no, it would not work for that purpose. I had a severe buzzard roosting problem under a canopy attached to my shop and had tried everything else I could think of, so I purchased this unit and figured if it didn't work, I wasn't out that much after what I had already spent to deal with the problem. To my surprise, after 3 days, no more buzzards roosting under the canopy. For about a week they would approach the canopy and the detector would set off the unit and they didn't even land. The range detection of this unit on it's most sensitive setting is amazing and now my problem is solved. I have a neighbor about 100 yds. away, and they are not bothered by the sound. I have a neighbor on the other side who feeds outdoor cats which I believe was the original attraction for the buzzards as they clean up the cat food, and the buzzards are still there, but not in my yard! This product worked great for me and solved the buzzard issue, even when I don't think it is designed to do so.

Good value and works very well if you are patient enough to get the settings just right.
Overall I was impressed with Cleanrth pest repeler. It can be plugged in and used close to the house or batteries may be placed by opening the back if you need to use it far from a electrical plug. I tried both, first just off the back porch pointed at a patch of trees just behind where I park the cars. It seems that on the way to their favorite perch they like to dive bomb my auto's. It was a matter of getting rid of the birds or getting rid of the shade trees. I like the trees for their shade so was not cutting them down. I do like the song birds also, I didn't wish any harm on them just needed them to pick another spot away from my auto's. That is where this handy device came in. As I stated first just off the back porch plugged in and pointed directly at the are, about 85 feet away. It took a little adjusting but this was made easy with the directions for the controls which you will find next to battery compartment by removing back panel. The unit comes with easy to read and understand directions and suggestions. After some tweaking it seemed to work okay but not to impressive. I then put some batteries in the unit and moved it about 30-40 feet from the area and attached it to a wooden fence post which was easy with the screw notches in the back. A little more tweaking and it worked wonderfully! A few stubborn birds still wanted their favorite perch no matter how loud the noise or bright the strobe was. For the most part most of the birds have found a new favorite perch and practice range for their dive bombing. I am not sure where they went but I ran into my neighbor that lives about a block away and he was complaining about all of these birds that just showed up seemingly out of nowhere the last couple of weeks and are doing a number on his driveway. Guess what I suggested he try.
