Timer does not work as advertised, strange fittings
The product manual says that there are 4 selectable timer modes, the most important one being the 0.01-1s range. Having good control in this range is necessary to dispense solder paste well. But the switch settings that correspond to this range give highly inconsistent timing in a range closer to 0-0.01s (uselessly short interval, hard to measure). It's practically impossible to set a time anywhere in the range of 0.01-1s.The unit is also marked as 220VAC input even though it takes 120VAC and ships with a 120VAC cord. Not good for peace of mind.The fitting that comes with the unit is not a size I recognize. I managed to hook it up to my compressor using a more standard quick-connect and a 1/4" hose barb.I managed to fix the unit by opening it up and hacking the main PCB. It's a very simple timing device based around a CD4541. After my hack I can set reliable timing in the sub-second range.It took more work than it was worth to make this device work. To most people it will be worse than useless.
