Though its pricy, this has been the best thing I've bought for my home. Through these strips, three frames remain intact for the last 4 months on my wall. One frame fell down though but the others are absolutely fine. This is surely the best option if your landlords stop you from drilling their walls.

You can take them out easily
I used it for hanging pictures and it worked perfectly.I also used it for fitting other things (not too heavy) and it was fine.When you need to take them out is is easily done without damaging the paint on the wall.
