Either. It comes with a 110 charger. But it also plugs into a usb port, if you have a power converter or usb port in your boat or vehicle.

Q: I'm having trouble charging the remote on my i pilot. Not sure if its the cable or inside the sealed part where cable plugs into the remote?

I was having trouble too. The wires inside the remote end of the plug had broke and I had to wiggle them to the right spot to get it to charge. I ordered this new cable and they fixed it. Charges like a dream now.
